talk about morning runs:

0730 locals, -3 celsius, on the xc ski course, perfectly packed snow, just me and two ski instructors, did the 3.5k loop 4 times (but one of them i took a wrong turn and cut about 1.5k short). In my vibrams ( that's a first, never tried them on snow at that temperature!) no traction problems, not even on the downhills. It will be a memorable run. Cut the toes off an extra pair of socks, vaseline on the extremities for some protection. At first it seemed a little chilly, but then my feet warmed up and i did about 6k a bit faster than marathon pace.

Just gorgeous, silently gorgeous.

I submit to you that he has used at least 5 aliases over the last few days. The early days of DYRT was wonderful, with contributions from 20+ people, many of them national class. I blame RD for ruining that. He is obssessed with discrediting me, as a runner, as a coach, as a person. I also win when RD leaves us at CVRR alone, and, leaves me alone at another non-running thread. Of course he will deny all this.

today: already wrote about my workout. Recovery in the hotel's spa, turkish bath, whirlpool, aromatic shower...

I ran both of my PB's in National Titles, the 800m in 1990 and the 1500m in 1997, so you should be able to look at National Title results for those years.

I am having an easy week this week, after four fairly solid (for me) weeks. Ran Monday for 30 minutes , very heavy legs.

I got a massage yesterday from a new massage therapist. He virtually told me not to come back because I made him work too hard !

A lovely 40+ minutes today capped off with a handful of striders and some weightlifting. I am feeling rejuvinated!

"Abusing" this thread?! How dare YOU accuse me of that? I have done my best to offer positive contributions and reinforcement to our many wonderful contributors. Unfortunately you cannot honestly say the same.

As for my ruining DYRT, I would submit that this is among the most successful of letsrun's threads. And though we welcome your positive contributions, it is undeniable that the smoothest sailing around here was when you were absent.

As for the other aliases and threads you claim I use to bother you, I categorically deny this. You have often claimed to have IP information. If you did, you would know that what you claim is false. That's a fact that any of the letsrun hierarchy can vouch for.

You don't have to leave, Skuj. Just grow up.

Ok so the way I see it here is there are 2 possibilities.

1.) You are correct, and he is attacking you. And it is anonymous, and on the internet, and anything against you could easily be defeated by just ignoring it.

2.) You are incorrect, and should stop worrying about it as well.

So one way or the other, its really, really easy to just let it go.

Same goes to RD. How hard is it to ignore someones posts on the internet, to that purpose.

Back on topic, today was 11 miles, and it felt amazing. I feel like my legs are coming around to the mileage, and should be hitting up some good races soon. 3 mile warm up, then 4 mile tempo at 22:08, then half mile recovery, took off the long sleeve shirt and hit 4*400 with 200 rest in 68, 68, 67, 64. Felt great! Then a 2 mile and change cool down for a little over 11 on the day!

On the other hand, I don't really know if workouts like this do anything for me in terms of long term benifit. Would I be better served just extending the tempo? Or just doing an interval workout, instead of mixing them? Any input is appreciated.

after a day off, I took advantage of the lovely weather and got out for about 40'.....had a few iffy moments with both lower legs....some mild cramping, etc......reduced the pace and things recovered well......no lingering stiffness, so I think all is good.....likely will sit on the sidelines despite another nice day today.....back at it tomorrow?.....

Yesterday was an easy 90 mins in the forest exploring new tracks. Still a bit sore in the quads and feet from sundays fast downhill running.

Today no run just on the mtn bike for 2hrs. Had a solid day at work processing 770kgs of tomatoes. Worked out I lifted 3000kgs for the day. I skipped my usual routine of dips, chinups, pushups etc.

Easy 9 in the AM in 65. Going to hit weights, a circuit, plus 5 more later tonight.

And holy crap, thats a lot of tomatoes...

i was not intending to get weird. I was just trying to get on a tangent to indicate that the online bantering between you and RD seems to be limitless.

I FULLY endorse HMP's call to Let Go. I have also tried to promote the same route in several posts in the past. And I hope that HMP's impressive running percentiles will be more convincing than my amateur-ial running experiments.

The reason why I like this thread is because it is called: "describe YOUR running today." YOURs. Whoever, whatever, even if it was utter fantasy. Let Go guys.

Maybe that's why fishing can be so appealing: "Once i caught this fish, that was so BIG...like THIS big..."

Hope to hear from gonzo and driske who have been absent for a while.

Sorry, I'm a bit late with this one:Yesterday I did 20min grass jog + 4x60m track + 4x1200m road + 10min grass jog. The fastest 60m was 9.75sec, and the fastest 1200m was 4:14. These times are "step ups", and other than being "aerobically capacitated" on that fastest 1200m, all was well, foot-wise, ham-wise, etc. All is good.Thank you HMP and tpcb, and to all other honest DYRTers.Skujwww.cvrr.caDYRT Starter
