driske,
I cycled to the start this morning at 7:30.
At first condimeteo were ok: mild temp, humid, overcast with a reasonable headwind for added fatigue. The headwind grew stronger, cold rain started, and was quite a dampner in the last 2kms.
I ran in vibrams like last year. The first half at 3:56-4:00mins/km and then slowed down some. Wasn't tired but couldn't/didn't want to go faster. Didnt feel fuelled right maybe. At 14km the 1:24 pacer group picked me up: stayed with them for about 2k and then slowed down again. Finished around 1:27:30.
What I am happy about is i have fully recovered already; i cycled back to work like a bat out of hell. No soreness, stifness, contracture of any sorts (especially not in my calves)
Last year i went faster (about 1m30s) but did not feel this OK afterwards. I suppose its an ok test for marathon coming up in three weeks.
What do you think? I want to run one more long run of at least 2h45mins...
