Hey R.D. when you did 10x300 in 40, what were you racing 800 in? Sorry that you are injured right now.
You are awesome.

msh to uh_no:
will you post on this thread some of your analytical wisdom?
tpcb
Hey R.D. I think 10x300 in 40 equals 3:45 1500m and 1:52 800m shape. Is that what you could race? I have some training questions please. Never mind the trolls here.

25:00 3 days ago with dumb bell workout.
20:00 run the next day with crunches and pushups.
Yesterday, just dumbell workout. Tired.
This AM - 20:00 blustery minutes after walking the dog.
Nice to see the sun again.
Having a tough time mentally after losing the last older relative on my Dad's side last week. Cherish your families, even if you don't always get along, because YOU NEVER KNOW.
kids athletics. worked on a new way to make long jump fun and reduce waiting in line.
bike commute
looking to run 2h15m tomorrow.
gonzo, my condolences.
A 12k race, first race for many months. Took a while to get into it but it felt so good. 2 old friends/rivals were immediately behind me all the way. Had 2 guys just ahead of me who I caught with 1500 to go. They kicked away again over last 500 but I was happy to put it all on the line.
A good buddy won the race, he's 52, makes me wonder wherer all the young runners are.
Good news on the fires here. Just 12 remain out of control and most are expected to be contained soon.
Very little imminent threat to homes from any of the current fires. The police have begun the hideous task of searching through Kinglake, Strathewen, Humevale, Marysville and Narbethong for those unaccounted for.
It appears the mods have been busy with their editing shears once again as I notice my post about yesterday's run has vanished. Okay, I admit to mentioning our "friend" again. So I guess I cannot blame them. Maybe they were trying to protect me from the stalker by eliminating the post suggesting my real identity. Thanks for that. Anyway, as I said yesterday, I will neither confirm, or deny, that it was my true identity. I don't want our "friend" to take his stalking beyond the internet.
I did run yesterday for the first time in many weeks. I stopped after an easy 30 minutes, or so. The plan is to work back slowly, so I am taking today off and will try again tomorrow. We'll see if the fire still burns.
Thanks again to all of you who have offered support, both public and private. This is the greatest thread on letsrun and continues to thrive despite the occasional pruning. Ha ha!
Keep up the good work, all!

Actually, Running Dogg, your continued "stalking" comments and the true backstory vis-a-vis you and me and the internet have been reported/told to letsrun.com, with supporting info, and now you are being watched very closely.
I expect this to disappear soon also.
Mopak, Thanks for the race recap. It sounds as though your race demographics are paralleling ours in the US. Do the youth of our times really think a virtual existense will match up with lifes real challlenges?
Having read the novel "Thorn Birds" many years ago, the threat that wild fires pose to Australia was layered deep in old memory. Your recent fearsome losses and vivid recounting of the fires maelstrom send shivers through me.
If you would, please list the address of a reputable local relief agency. My wife and I would like to forward a donation.
Recent runs have been few. Friday the 13th found me taking a bell ringing pratfall on a strip of ice. Youngest daughter swamped the van in the ditch on the way to school about the same time. Superstition works for me.
Had a nice 50 minute go with the border collie this AM.
Picked it up to 5:40 pace on 2 of the gradual downhills.
Weather is finally decent. Lo's in the teens and hi's in the 20's F.
Gents, good to read you all.
today: 28+Kms with a Garmined buddy. Averaged 4:38 per km, nicely progressed for the last few kms at about 4:20/km.
Feeling good. Nutrition expereiments are working. Downed some bread and honey after 1h10mins, 1h40mins and 2h00mins. Felt pretty fuelled at the end and capable of maintaing progression
20-minute run this AM after walking the dog who was trotting and doing a few mini-intervals. He was glad to be outside
thanks, point could be, she was NINETY FOUR after all and had one heck of a long run
it's like midwinter, looking out the window and seeing all the leaves off the tree...hey, life goes on, she'd likely give me a verbal kick: "Say a Prayer for me then stop mopin'!"
God, will I be glad when Spring is here.
Driske, probably the Australian Red Cross is the best place for donations.
I don't know the internet address but their mailing address is Australian Red Cross

Specify the Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009.
I believe something like 90 million has already been raised. The government and charities are doing a great job getting money and necessities to the victims quickly.

You waited 7 whole minutes before replying to my post. And I'm the stalker? Take a good hard look in the mirror.
Stalking is when you follow someone from forum to forum. You continually underestimate what I know, and what I have received from people when I asked.
Will you ever get it?
24 minutes. Sigh.....
P.S. I post on no other forums that you visit, to the best of my knowledge.
Will post the letter tommorrow. Wish and pray for some rain and relief to come your way.
gonzo? 94? May I ask who you lost?
tpcb, the power of progression continue to in fuse your pathways.
PM 25 min.on the bike trainer in front of the tube.
quantum entanglement, intentional thought,Tolle's release from the ego. Much to ponder.

Also, you did 10x300 in 40. (But raced only a 19:42 5k.)
LOL>
Why would anyone believe anything you say.
