The socks idea is a great idea. I use it during the really really cold days when my gloves won't cut it.
Today 14 miles.
8*mile with a friend, on ice, slid all over the place, bit it hard once. (I'm in the northwest for a while for the holidays). Was great having someone to run them with though. Been going solo for far too long.
First one was a bit slow, getting oriented with what patches of ground were safe to run on, and learning the route. After that got progressively faster.
5:51, 5:35, 5:35 (with a fall), 5:35, 5:28, 5:25, 5:19, 5:19. Was going to do 2 or so more, but decided for safetys sake, I had better drive home before the conditions got worse. Feeling really strong, despite a full day of travel and about 4 hours of sleep last night.
