Getting rid of acne spots/marks?

Did anyone read that article about the journalist who took steroids and epo and hgh and became a beast of a cyclist? He said the hgh made his scars go away almost immediately. Is hgh available on the market?

I know that you asked about gettting rid of spots, but the best way to prevent future acne is, as one poster said, wash/rub your face with lemon slices. The juice helps to get dead skin off and disolve oil (I am sure you have used a citrus solvent for cleaning at some point, maybe as XC ski wax remover). The other thing to do is eat yogurt with active cultures or get some acidophilus tablets. I am not sure of the science of it, but keeping the right types/balance of bacteria with help to prevent acne (the black of a blakhead is dead bacteria)

Stay away from the rubbing alcohol. It is about the worst thing you can rub on your skin next to acetone. There is an incredibl;y increased incidence of cervical cancer in girls who use it for acne treatment.

alpha lipoic acid is best for poc, acne scars and marks....

First of all sunshine will only make the hyperpigmentation WORSE!

In fact if you're not using sunblock that could be why it's taking so long for them to fade!

Some people think sunshine makes acne go away, they are WRONG.

It may seem crappy now but the fact that the derm sent you back saying you had no 'real' scarring means you will eventually have clear and scarless skin. Google

Now for some actuall advice on how to repair your skin...

ALOE!

Go buy an aloe plant, today.

Don't try some silly store bought gel or cream claiming to have enough aloe to heal. It must be the plant to really heal.

Each morning and night after washing your face, cut a bit (inch) of the aloe leaf off and open it up and rub over your entire face and spend extra time on your actual scars. Leave it on. It will dry and be invisable.

I noticed my red marks fade signifcantly after a few days.

Keep using it for as long as it takes for them be completely gone.

Also note: Aloe is totally non comedigenic, it will NOT clog pores and cause more acne. In fact aloe NATURALLY contains salicylic acid, which is great for acne.

Also, take vitamins!

Vit C

all of these will help your skin to heal. A healthy diet and lots of water will also help your skin to heal and prevent further breakouts.

Tea tree oil is EXCELLENT for active acne and prevention.

Proactive is NOT for everyone!

Sort out your hormones, use tea tree oil, use aloe daily.

Are you crazy?!?!? Putting rubbing alcohol on your skin - you MUST be absolutely bonkers. Please don't put such horrendous recipes on the website for innocent people who might take your advice seriously.

For the person who asked - I have an excellent method. But remember, first use good products (I LOVE Bioelements - check out their Acne line as well as their kit for Oily and Very Oily skin - it's just magic, and trust me, I had the WORST and most adamant acne!) to get rid of acne. Make sure for about a week or two that you are not getting any new eruptions (red inflammations or new white pus-filled acne). Then, every morning soak about 4-5 almonds (whole, organic) in two tablespoons of milk and let them be. Before going to bed, use a clean (absolutely essential!) mortar and pestle or just a small clean bowl and a spoon and mash the almonds that have soaked up all the milk. You'll make a thick paste. Apply these to all the spots and leave it on for about 30 mins to allow all the juices to be soaked into your skin. Wash off and rub one slice of a cucumber on your skin (this is amazing for cooling down the skin!). Trust me blindly - it will take probably a month or month and a half, depending on how bad your condition is, but it is absolutely fantastic and WILL work. Do not do this during the day, as the last thing people with acne-prone or oily skin want to do is walk out into the dust and pollution with greasy stuff on your skin! Also, use a good Cleaner, Toner (not too harsh; try Bioelements Active Astringent or Equalizer or just use Rice Water or Tea Tree Water) and Moisturizer (oil-free, preferably gel-based - Bioelements Absolute Hydration is great for people with skin like ours). Do this routine AM and PM - essential!

Dont expose urself in sun for long.Make sure you drink lots of water this will surely benifit you.Do a little bit of yoga and exercise.Stay away from junk food and stick to green vegetables and fruits.Applying crushed banana with a teaspoon of honey is good.Also keep your skin fresh wash your face 3-4 times a day and apply a little moisturiser.Make sure u wash ur hair daily for better result.

There are a number of home remedies. I know it's frustrating to hear so many times, but they will fade, even if not in the next few months. You can rub lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, or mix the two together or with honey, and apply to the area once a day (after washing your face). Don't give up because you don't get immediate results, it may take a while (a few weeks, maybe a few months, depending on the severity of the marks). Exfoliate the area with a water and baking soda mixture (just enough water to make the baking soda into a paste) by lightly rubbing it onto damp skin. Never exfoliate more than once a week, because while you want to remove dead skin, you might accidently remove layers of skin that you still need if you do it too often. Don't scrub, just rub. Store bought scar creams (found at the grocery store or a farmicy) might work. The most important part is making sure you're acne is gone, and it sounds like it is. Good luck!

Try these remedies to get rid of acne spots

1. Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected area overnight. Wash off with warm water next morning.
