I'm 29 and dating a 19 year old. Yes, there is a significant maturity difference, but I don't want to be too mature outside of work. When I'm not working, I'm about light stuff like food, music, movies, sex, etc. She is fun. The only problem is that we can't mix friends.

What does maturity mean? Will you define it?
That half your age plus 7 thing is the islamic formula.
It makes sense, as women go through menopause and men don't. There's no sense matching a 45 with 45. Biology is cruel to women but there's no reason men should suffer too.
That doesn't validate the religion of course. Religions always try to take credit for things they didn't do.

I wouldn't want to go back to being a silly 19 year old girl if I had the choice. I like myself a lot better as I am now with some wrinkles than who I was when I was 19. When I was 19 I was superficial, immature, and couldn't even think for myself. I'd totally take the wrinkles and gray hair over being the superficial pretty teen any day.

I always considered that to be the trophy wife formula, unless you are in position for a trophy wife, just date some of age and your maturity level (probably higher).

Most younger girls are superficial & immature at 19 but there are some that can relate. A girl at 30 is fine as long as she can still look at life like a child and not be bitter.

I totally agree with you about women and becoming bitter. I have never seen my close friend from high school have a man because she projects all of her parents' divorce problems on to them. She's 30 and pretty, but if I were a guy I wouldn't want her because she's super bitter about relationships. Case where maturity = turnoff.
Well I am 35 and this year I have been with three 18 year old's and one 23 year old. Although it was a little odd when one of them told me that her mom was 36.
I guess I could make that work. I'm 60, and don't think I'd enjoy being with someone who was much younger than 37.

You're looking at this wrong. It's not that you're supposed to go seek out girls age/2+7; it's not saying the typical girl at that age will be OK for you.
It's that if you happened to find a compatible girl who was that age, it would not be creepy to date her.
Let's face it, girls don't want to date introverted, skinny, neurotic losers like the guys who have posted on this thread. And, even if they did, the whole shitting in the pants/compression sock thing would be a complete turn off.
