Your Biggest Disappointment For the Trials?

I am sure 95% of the nation was unaware of the trials. Tebow's workout at the Jets camp in Jersey got more coverage.

+1 for TG losing to Gatlin. Other than that, I thought it was a really entertaining Trials.

Dix, Gatlin and the others in the 200m who declared with no intent on running and keeping a few of the young developing sprinters a chance to compete at the trials.

I was disappointed that Lomong DID make the team. Would love to have seen Bumbalough get it instead.Not because I like Bumbi so much but more because I can't stand Lomong.

Was pretty gutted for Torrence in the 1500. Thought he was a top 3 guy for sure.

Please shorten the next trials to five days, wed to sun, afternoon & evening meets ticketed separately, no days off.

Both 100 meter races. Really didn't want to see Gatlin or Jeter win.

1. Meet was to long , two rest days a joke , lag time during comp days , no way this meet should be this long.

2. Screw up of the 100 meter tie controversy , NEW CEO Max had an opportunity to show his control and chose not to. Bullied by agents , TV and Hightower , great opportunity to show leadership. Puppet on string or just a sponsorship salesman with a title.

Torrence and Huling were disappointments in that they threaded it all together, had the standards, had positioning at the top turn yet neither could finish. Soul crushing. Clay's discuss scratch was a surprise. Webb's nothing run was a disappointment even for the incredibly shaky year he had. The Felix-Tramoh thing was just a disappointment all the way around. The biggest media story of the Trials and it just failed on every level. Neither the athletes, their coaches and managers, nor anyone at USATF was media savvy enough to gain any positive benefit from all the attention that story generated. Pathetic.

The biggest wins were Rupp's dominance, Eaton's dominance, and the ability for some of the 1500m guys to finally team-up and strategize a race plan rather than letting the leaders dictate a race to their disadvantage. Trafeh's race in the 5000m could've benefited from more teamwork and less aloneness but that seems to be that guys preferred style for some reason.

Biggest disappointment...Brie Felnagle not getting to the 5K final and making the team. I had no realistic expectation of that happening, but it would have been nice to see that a gal can be a big partier and still show up looking hot and racing well.

Plus, the celebratory pix on her FB page would have been pretty interesting.

Surely, Webbs 14:01 wash out was the biggest disappointment. He could have at least run in the 1500 finals and run a respectable 3:37+. That 14:01 was just as bad as his 1:54 800. It looks as if Webb is carrying an invisible sack of coal on his back. He has also looked really stiff when he has run.

The biggest dissapointment is that I post my Oregon bias on these boards, sorry guys

2nd - Convicted cheats winning the 100 and 400.

Paris Hilton did run a 3:00 800.

Wariner. I would still put him on the relay all day everyday, matter of fact I would have him anchor the final in London.

I am bummed he is no longer the King of the 1 lapper but the US would be foolish to leave him home from the relay.

Too much focus on non-stories, Letsrun is so focused on Doping and trying to change so much about the sport that it doesn't ever actually report on the sport anymore.
