If this donation site is real, so far she will be getting $77,000. Probably will be pulling in 1 million before it's all over.
I'm sure those shithead kids and their shithead parents will find a way to sue before it's all over.

Donations going up like $1000 every 5 minutes. She doesn't have to go in to work tomorrow, that's for damn sure.
She said the insult that hurt the most was "you're so ugly your kids should kill themselves." Her son committed suicide ten years ago. That's the meanest insult I've ever heard in real life.
I'm a peaceful dude in my thirties but these videos made me want to physically attack those middle school boys. I'm sure I'm not the only one. If I was their parents I'd be worried about their safety.
So where are the bullies?
There are hundreds of thousands in the United States. Why aren't they commenting online?
Shouldn't they be uniting and starting a donation for the bullies on the bus? Bullies Across America - Stand Proud (on the heads of the weak). Where are they?!?

I think part of the problem is that kids who were born after the year 2000 have grown up in a world where you can go online and anonymously insult people with no repercussions. I just can't understand why someone would film themselves insulting someone like this for ten freaking minutes. It's the same sort of people who, when people set up live suicide webcasts, encourage them to kill themselves, instead of calling the police for them or something. Add to this problem the fact that youtube allows people to be (potentially) seen by millions, and it invites everyone to make videos of them doing things like this. It's the same reason why people film themselves robbing/fighting people. They'll post it on facebook and youtube and wait for the adorations to roll in. It's basically like a morally wrong version of planking.
i think the girl kicking him in the head is a very cute little girl.
Man, what the hell? Just how forgetful are you guys? Middle school kids are TERRIBLE. This isn't some unique post-2000 generational gap. Thinking back, just about all of my memories of middle school are the terrible things I did to other people, other people did to me, or other people did to other people. Our idea of a good time was to throw water balloons at cars, leave a bag of poop on the teacher's desk, fight each other, tease each other. Some kids used to go around with elastic belts with pins in them and whip each other, which was "hilarious!". For a while it was all the rage to go up behind someone and choke him until he passed out. I'm bewildered that you guys are surprised that 13 year olds are total shits.
they need a large male chaperone on that bus

whites dont fight back really? rocky marciano, willie pep, jake lamotta, carmen basilio from the past to joe calzaghe, the klitcko brothers, none of those white guys fight back yet they were all world champions, how did that happen.
i know willie pep won a round without throwing a punch, which is well known in boxing history, but how did the others reach their success and score there knockouts without fighting back?
i liked that movie somebody up there likes me the rocky graziano story, about how the meek white who would not fight back under any circumstances became middleweight champion.
What would you like the bus monitor or driver to do? Pull over the bus? Little good that will do. All she can do is wait to inform someone higher. The monitor is there to report problems children cause and if possible stop fights.
who's in charge? wrote:
well wrote:No, actually. The person in charge is the bus driver.
So what exactly is her role? You'll have to forgive my ignorance. We don't have bus monitors where I live, so I'm not exactly sure what their job is. But if she isn't supposed to be some kind of authority figure, I can't really imagine what she is there for.

They obviously don't remember Columbine.

Exactly. I'm amazed that more bullied kids don't go on shooting sprees. I never did, but I have loads of self-discipline.
Up to $173,000 for her now.
Nearly 12 year's salary for her.
I gave $10 - up to $204,000 now
This is like the ending of "It Could Happen to You" when Fonda and Cage lose all their lottery money but people mail in money from all over the country.
Gets me every time.

I think we can all agree that kids are terrible and this isn't really a new thing. However, it think it's kind of naive to pretend that growing up with the internet hasn't had any impact on these kids. Just a wild guess, but I'd bet the kid who said the line "you're so ugly, your kids should kill themselves" probably didn't make that up on the spot.
There's also a fundamental respect issue here as well. I have similar horrible middle school memories to yours, but I don't recall anyone targeting any old ladies. You pick on kids or *some* teachers, but making an old lady cry is beyond the pale. In fact, trying to do something like that on the bus I rode would've gotten your a$s kicked.
If anyone should be punished over this, it should be the parents. If that's how your children behave, you've clearly failed as a parent and should have to pay some price for inflicting your offspring onto the rest of us.

I don't recall cell phone videos back in the day either - that probably has something to do with you not recalling a similar incident.
I'd hate to imagine how bus etiquette has changed over the years. When I rode the bus the driver wouldn't put up with shit. There were several times he threw kids off the bus and they had to walk home (I know that wouldn't happen these days) or he'd just stop the bus get off and smoke cigs till we figured we'd shut our pie-holes and then he'd get back on and drive. I never heard that he recieved any discipline from whoever his boss was, so I guess the parents thought that we deserved our fate. I can also remember more than one kid being banned from riding hte bus for a period of time, I didn't watch the vid, but I bet it was was for something far less worse than what I'm hearing described.

How about shooting classmates or teachers to death? If you think that is a new thing check this out:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/School_shootingIf anything, kids today are better behaved that kids of years past.
