Please......Please........show me 1 single institution or academic authority that acknowledges anything biblical as an actual piece of history, and I will openly and blantly present an equal ammount of propaganda showing that Buddah or Allah or Mickie Mouse were actual historical figures. They are all fantasy.
I think most people would agree that Buddha was a real person.

It's unfortunate that this thread quickly turns into a religious argument about whether someones god existed or not. god is whoever the heck you want it to be or not be. If i want to worship a peanut, then I have the right to do so. If I want to worship a hispanic man thats working on my roof named jesus cristo, then I have the right to do so. If I want to worship a man with horns and a pitchfork who lives in the center of the earth, then I have the right to do so. Im flagging this thread.

My God not only existed; He still exists today. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Too bad there are still people who refuse to admit it today. Oh well, pearls before swine and all that.
Adam and Eve. First thing I would ask: was it really her fault?

Why would you flag this thread? If a certain post bothers you, ignore it and move on. The thread is still interesting and a majority of the posts are on topic.

I'm not arguing religion with you, but non-religious academic historians of the period generally recognize that Jesus was a historical figure. One such academic who has published a lot (and been on Colbert and the Daily Show) is Bart Ehrman - a non-Christian academic from the University of North Carolina who acknowledges the historical existence of Jesus.
For that matter, the Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama) is also an actual historic figure.
In both cases, the academic question for historians is what they actually did, not whether they existed.

I want to meet that one imaginary character named Mary. You know, the one that apparently had jesus without ever having intercourse. I want to meet her so I could kill her before she ever made that long hard walk to bethlaham and therefore could not give birth to another make-believe character because she is dead.
