If it was so easy to play defensive, everybody would do so. But you have to score. How many times you try unsuccessfully is irrelevant. Other teams have no Drogba, Lampard, Czech, so they cannot play like that.
Yes, I admit, Chelsea was lucky in the final and the score shows it 1-1 after 90 minutes and only 4-3 in the penalty. You could argue that a repeat game after the 1-1 would have been fairer than a penalty shoot-out which has always a lot to do with who has the luck on the day.
