It is possible that Alan Webb is training at your local track. We need pics.
No, his build is different than Webb's. He looks somewhat like Magness, but the "college student studying engineering" part of the story doesn't fit, unless he was lying about it.
Is this in Austin, by chance?
No, it happened on the west coast. The Pacific Ocean is less than a hundred miles away from where I live.
Pics and I'll go 8/10.
3/10, but still to obvious as you refused to list a town.
In the title what is the symbolism behind the "purple runner",
is this one of those risqué dramas? It looks like an interesting read.

0/10 from me.
Dude what freakin city is it you moron..you are on a message board where nobody knows who the hell you are..geez
Upload a video or it's 1/10
Oh, that's probably just Steve. He does stuff like that just to mess with people's minds.
It's me.
I'm that runner. I run everyday, sometimes twice a day.
I don't usually wear a watch, I run by feel.
It's the last time I step onto a track.

+1 My thoughts exactly.
1/10, though I'm sure being the "mystery man" and having your identity speculated about on letsrun message boards is every 1530 post-collegiate's wet dream. Grow up. There's more to life than running.
I love paranoid people who somehow think the internet will magically locate them if they mention their home city. Females are the typical adherents to this behavior, though males do it too. It is related to an elevated ego, that somehow men everywhere will want to seek them out if this priceless piece of knowledge becomes available and associated with a screen name called, "no clue".
Just say the city, else 1/10.
i would like to know as well. i work with the big shoe company and would like to sign this mystery runner to a contract. it'll be a 4-year committment. Incentives will be given :)
Year 1: $125,000
Year 2: $150,000
Year 3: $199,000
Year 4: $121,000
And an option for Year 5: $28,500
why don't you just say where you live?
without that, i think you're a troll for sure.
Yes, I know an over 40 female runner like that, a club mate. I know that she has run Q times for the 800 and 1500 over the last 2 or 3 years and she prefers to train privately. She said she hates for anyone to see her train. We are in the same club. This year in April she raced 2:01 to my 2:29 in her bare feet. She doesn't want the attention but she is friendly and will talk to you some. Sometimes I see her running through a field and streets up to the track in shoes. Once at the track she takes them off.
She has a friend who is about her age that is somewhat slower but very fast for her age.

Galen makes that much every 2 weeks.
because so many trolls felt the need to rate this thread, I'll have to give it an 8/10. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it deserves a bad rating, it's all about the reactions of others.
With that said, seeing so many troll raters angrily post 1/10 makes me think this was a pretty successful thread.
