"My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" -JFK How do you think think quote would be received by todays citizen?....applause and cheers of approval...I don't think so. This sense of entitlement is in all strata of society from the guy collecting foodstamps who is too proud to work as a trash collector, to the rich who feel they just can't pay anymore taxes because they "earned thier money", to the businesses who feel they are entitled to pollute air and treat employees anyway they want, to CEO's, our religious and politcal leaders who feel they can play be different rulesand of course parents who think schools and coaches must ocddle their special kids. Am I wrong?

I understand that you don't want to abolish all government, but I'm trying to show you that saying "leave me alone" concerning the government is not a legitimate political position or action plan. Lowering social security taxes and cutting benefits to wealthy retirees is an example of a legitimate political position iff you can make a convincing argument for the positives outweighing the negatives, but saying "leave me alone" is not any more productive than saying "liberals/conservatives/commies/socialists/nazis suck!"

The greatest quote in the history of intelligent debate: "Only a Sith deals in absolutes. Everything in the world is a cost benefit analysis." (The second line was cut out in the theatrical release.)
