Leaving Hudson was a big mistake. 9th in the Olympics and 4 years later can't make the US Olympic team is not good.
Now Ritz is back injury cycle with Salazar.
While Salazar is downplaying the big toe injury, running on an alter g and pulling out of the two best chances to run qualifying times in the US is another bad sign.
Sad to see.

When I saw him running a 10K a few weeks ago as his first track race back from the marathon I thought how stupid. Plus he just did it as a workout. For someone as injury proved as he is why run 25 laps of the track in spikes if you don't have too. Im not surprised his toe is stuffed. This is just as stupid as his 200 meter repeats indoors which got him injured as well. last fall or when ever it was.

I don't know about dumb but it sure leaves you scratching your head. I thought running the NYC half was a bad idea too. I know dude has to make a living but not sure what it did to get him ready for getting his A standards out of the way and running well at the trials. For some reason they thought they had so much time, now time is running out.

When was Solinsky ever hurt other than last year? I remember Teg, Nelson and the other Wisconsin guys not wanting to train with him because he would beat the crap out of himself day after day and never get hurt or sore. Probably explains why he wasn't racing to his potential, but it never led to injury.
