I agree with the idea to stay away from the minivan. We had a Ford Windstar for 11+ years, and the sliding doors are just a pain in the ass. Both doors had separate issues to the point that we quit using one of them the last 2 years we had it. The dealerships even don't like working on the doors. I will never again own a minivan.
Oh, to the OP, if you really MUST have a minivan, then yes, I think you're paying too much for it. If you EVER pay a penny over invoice, then it's too much. As someone already said, check edmunds.com. You should pay under invoice the vast majority of the time.
