My sub 5 mile in high school as a freshman was ridiculous.

We're talking about doubles, triples, and quadruple events here, not how fast they're run. And plus, I would argue that German's double is better than LV's triple. His 4:00/8:34 convert to around 4:01/8:37, faster than LV's 4:10/8:40. Plus he ran it solo. LV had people to push him.
A quadruple that includes two relays hardly compares to a triple that is all real races won outright. And, 8:40i > 8:30 3200m period, which is why LV broke German's 2M outdoor record come outdoor. And if German could have broken 4:00 in the 1600m he would have, whether he had to run another race or not, but LV broke 4:00 in a full Mile. LV was two time Footlocker champion, German was a distant 3rd once. Anything German could do, LV could do and did do better.

Except Verzbicas' times were run indoor, and he had to deal with a 14:06 5000m in the same meet
And as for Verzbicas having people to push him, why don't we take a look at the video of the 5000m and the 2-mile.
He literally lapped the entire field (some people more than once) in the 5k, and he led from start to finish in the 2-mile. Cheserek being BEHIND him the entire time wasn't exactly help, considering Verzbicas was stuck doing all the pacing work anyways.

How did LV do in the NCAA cross country meets?
Nice try on the thread. If he would have won the mile you would have been a hero for such foresight. OOpps...he got 2nd
Just another good triple!
Next!
It's really unfortunate that they allow adults to run with children like that.
I won't believe the grown man who won the mile is 18 unless he produces a birth certificate.
Did you even follow the meet...are you serious, where did 4 hours come from?
