Greg Norman almost won The Open when he was 53 and Tom Watson when he was 59. Nicklaus himself won his last major at 46. Anything is possible, and to say that Tiger will never win another major is a bit premature. He still has probably a six-year window at least to right his game, and anything's possible in one tournament. He has great rounds and holes still, but can't string them together consistently. It's been hard watching his fall from grace, and I hope he can find contentment no matter what happens. I wouldn't rule him out, but I doubt he gets Jack's record. Fields are too deep. I'd like to see lefty win a couple more, especially the US Open, where he's finished runner-up five times.
You are a prophet.Woods withdrew from cadillac championship today because of his left leg acting up again.

Elin sure did a number with that golf club.

Does him pulling out of this WGC mean he's not allowed to play any more majors or something?
I'm not so sure that pulling out of an event with a niggle rules him out of ever winning again I'm afraid. It's not the same injury as before, it's his achilles.

There is no need for that kind of language.
*This question/thought is 100% speculation/wonder.
The fact that he has become so injury prone leads me to wonder more about possible PED use. Through that amazing stretch where he was winning 6-10 times every year I don't remember any hints of injury issues. Now, if he plays on a windy day he gets injured.
Recovery, and the ability to train harder seem to be the biggest benefits of PEDs. We do also know he had a connection to Dr. Galea (sp?). I hope I am wrong, but it is one of those things that make you go hmmm mm...
I'm pretty sure when the PGA instituted testing goes along with his slide also.

Good stuff. That made me laugh.

Achilles looks ok.
7 Figure win $ , he's probly given Jenna Jameson a golden shower already , then off to Augusta to play golf at the KKK club. What a life.
Tiger win just ruins the week for republikkklan teabaggers.
You do realize Tiger Woods is a Republican don't you??
Here is the way it is wrote:Sometimes you can just tell by looking at someone's face. It was like that watching Borg after his epic Wimbledon final over McEnroe. You could see immediately after the match his eyes said, "I don't ever want to go through that again". And he didn't
bullshit
he was relieved/happy to win '80 wimbo
he lost as usual at US, this time to mac
he went on to outlast ivan in '81 french in a purgatory match where ivan faded in last set ( he woudn't have coupla years later when maturer )
borg wasn't too pissed losing '81 wimbo to mac
kinda took pressure off for US...
the end of borg was '81 US when he got beaten in the 5th set tie-break by mac
that killed him
he slumped off the court head down, knowing this was his last realistic chance of the win he craved having lost 4 finals...
Tiger and Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner.
bump
This is just the way it is.
Don't say you weren't told.

It's unlikely Tiger will get Jack's record, particularly as the competition just keeps getting deeper and deeper. He certainly won't get Jack's 45 top three finishes in majors.
No chance at the record. Nichlaus had 14 majors at age 35 and Woods at 33 but has gone on a four year drought. Nichlaus had 17 at age 40. Woods needs 3 more in the next 4 years to keep pace. Not gonna happen. I hope he enjoyed his girlfriends because his fooling around ruined his life and his reputation both on and off the course.

A lot of the competition didn't make the cut while Tiger was leading the first two rounds
Excuse me for asking...but who is TIGRA WOODS? :)
