Now if track were a little bit more popular and got a tv contract and you had $100 million in revenue. Then we'd be talking. Use 20 million on overhead and use 80 million to pay the athletes.
BAWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Oh god Rojo, you're killing me.
You're suggesting an 80/20 revenue split to the athletes?
The NFL went into lockout over 53/47 to the players and the NBA might lose a season to 52/48.
By the way Mr. Shay, if money is an issue for you elites/emerging elites then take your college education get a real job. That sponsorship money you get from your shoe companies is charity. No matter how hard they try, Nike and Adidas don't make their billions of dollars off of you, Galen Rupp, Chris Solinsky, Bernard Lagat or Haile Gebrselassie. Their record profit margins come from hobby joggers who have never heard of you and kids trying to look fly with the latest street shoes or Air Jordans. The vast majority of the people running the New York City Marathon have never heard of Lauren Fleshman or a Picky Bar nor do they care if she's in the elite race. They buy their Nike shoes, take some pictures, jog/walk the course in 4+ hours and go home and brag about their feat on Facebook.
