My body says drink beer, eat chicken wings, and watch TV...I don't listen to it.
And once every couple years I get a weed up my ass and I will try and run well for a couple months. The doubles are mandatory and easy to do. 65 and 35-45 minutes 5 times a week. I jump from 35-45 miles a week to 85-100 in 2-3 weeks. No big deal. I sleep 5 hours most nights, sometimes I squeeze in 7. Just get up, shoes on, out door!
I get hurt once in a while, not a lot. Doesn't everybody who tries hard enough?
I tip my bike over sometimes, but I ain't giving that up either.
