Who is "we"? The cry baby nation? I will never stop telling people that it is VERY unfortunate that this happened. But she did cut the course. Take responsibillity for the action and stop being a part of the cry baby generation that feels like they have no accountability for any actions. And for any adults, lawyers included, that are encouraging this type of whining and non-accountability...shame on you too!!

Okay look its pretty simple from what I have heard. I was there but did not see it happen which sucks because apparently I was at the exact spot it happened cheering on a girl from our team. Someone cut the course and many people from what iv heard saw it and said wow did you just see that girl she cut. I dont understand why you would even think about cutting the course at the last little bit even if someone else was. I mean if someone jumps off a mountain etc... you get it. Sucks this happened and sucks it worked out this way. I will say though corpus tried to DQ someone last time they held conference because someone ran beside her for like 20 meters towards the end cheering her on. When they found out they were going to win the title anyways they decided not to DQ her. The other girls teams was a close second! Shaddy all I have to say. Life goes on and regionals is a chance to prove show people your better than corpus. Oh and running lawyer stop making the gay post about the rules and and the course being certified.
Bruinboy,
Are you one of the goat farmers brought over from africa to run, get your degree, learn how to cheat then go home and raise more goats with your education. Some advise don't listen to the lying americans around you in Corpus, they teach unethical ways of competing in sports.
If this did happen the way hahahaha says then it's about time a runner got DQ'd for cutting the course. Regardless of how the course was laid out-did it meet the specs in the NCAA rulebook regarding no turns near the end-the league coaches approved this school to host the meet. Once that happens you need to deal with whatever course the host sets up, and as a competitor it's pretty clear what the rules of our sport are. If any coaches anticipated a problem with the course they should have brought it up in the coaches meeting prior to the race.
A few years ago I watched a conference meet with 2 instances of major course violations in which no runners were DQ'd despite their actions being seen by numerous officials and coaches. In the womens' race roughly half the field cut the first corner of the course. In the men's race there was a fence set up on a soft left hand uphill and a few of the top 10 men cut inside the fence (knocking off 3-5 seconds). Both spots on that course had been addressed in the coaches meeting. It has always bugged me that no officials stepped up to enforce the rules.
Glad to see it different this time.
Congrats to Coach Snelling, SLC Women's Coach of the Year!
I have no biased in this situation, but from what I have heard and seen, from situations out side of this one, is that Flanagan is a sketchy guy. Therefore, I would not put this past him.
Just an observation I saw, is SFA the only school not filled with foreigners? All other slc schools seem to recruit heavily on foreigners rather than finding good Texas or Louisiana runners. Do all others slc schools not want to develop talent, they just want talented people to come to them. Wow what great coaches
There are no good Louisiana runners.(to recruit)
Yeah not enough talent in louisiana to develope. Anyone worth mentioning goes to lsu or out of state, rarely will another school get someone. Texas talent wont come to louisiana either when they have a boat load of schools to choose from. I really like to see the chicken Sh!t who thinks he can do a better job of putting a team that is competitive somewhat based on louisana and texas kids. Not saying it cant be done but it wont be easy and probably wouldnt happen especially for the louisiana schools. Id have to say the texas schools should be the ones recruiting in state they have loads to pick from but then again these kids have loads of places to go. Point is its not easy recruiting! Oh I used the work chicken sh!t for the sake of the sfa girl, I thought it would help this post fit in. Its awesome when a team can compete based on all local in state talent but its a rare thing. So I guess ill have to hear all you cry babys out there keep talking about foreigners.
its true, she did cut the course. 2 of my teammates were standing right there spectating. so quit bitching!!
THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have worked xc at UT, TCU and OK State for the past 10-11 years and can tell ANY and ALL that most most coaches do not know the rules, which is why they accept, at face value, the courses as presented on race day. Here is the XC section from the rulebook. As for foreigners? Whatever works is fine when a shortage of local runners exists.
SECTION 2. The Course
Course Lengths
ARTICLE 1. The variances of course lengths SHALL be:
a. Men—The length of a cross country race SHALL be from 8,000 to 10,000 meters, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon by coaches or determined by the games committee.
b. Women—The length of a cross country race SHALL be from 5,000 to 8,000 meters, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon by the coaches or determined by the games committee.
Course Layout
ARTICLE 2. The course shall be confined, as far as possible, to fields, woods and grasslands. Parks, golf courses or specially designed courses are recommended. The turf should be of a quality to promote safety and freedom
from injury to the runners, keeping the following in mind:
a. Dangerous ascents or descents, undergrowth, deep ditches, and in general any hindrance detrimental to the competitors, must be avoided.
b. Narrow gaps shall be not less than 2 meters and preferably 5 meters in width for nonchampionships courses and not less than 10 meters in width for championships courses. Obstacles and other hindrances shall be avoided throughout the course; and any narrowing of the course must
be avoided for the first 600 to 800 meters and the last 200 to 300 meters of the race.
c. Continuous traversing of roadways should be avoided.
d. The direction and path of the course shall be defined clearly for the runners.
e. Turns MUST be gradual.
COURSE MARKINGS
ARTICLE 3. The course SHALL be measured along the shortest possible route that a runner may take and must be marked CLEARLY by a white or colored line on the ground for the entire route of the course. The use of directional signs or flags is recommended as follows:
a. At least 7 feet above ground level;
b. A turn to the LEFT is MARKED by a red flag or arrow of direction on a sign post or stake;
c. A turn to the RIGHT is MARKED by a yellow flag or arrow of direction on a sign post or stake;
d. A course continuing straight is marked by a blue flag or arrow of direction on a sign post or stake; and
e. All flags, sign posts or stakes used shall mark the shortest perimeter of the course.
Note: All of the above course-marking devices must be placed on the edge of the measured line when lines and flags, sign posts or stakes are used to mark the
course.
SECTION 3. The Start
The start should be surveyed to permit each competitor to line up equidistant from the first turn. (NOT A STRAIGHT START LINE)See Figure 20.
a. The middle of the starting arc should be marked with a perpendicular line. The arc should be described so that all starting positions are equal distance from the focal point not less than 400 meters from the starting line that marks the most desirable route.
b. The start shall be located so as to provide a long, straight route from the starting line. The first turn shall be not less than 200 meters, preferably not less than
400 meters, from the start on nonchampionships courses and not less than 600 meters, preferably not less than 800 meters, from the start on championships courses.
c. The starting line shall be wide enough to provide at least a 50-centimeter space for each of five front-line team starters and a 50-centimeter space for each
individual starter.
d. Lane positions or boxes shall be numbered from left to right facing the running area and shall be drawn by lot.

Two things:
1) No, I am not a Kenyan. I am more than qualified to discuss this matter.
2) The below was in effect at this meet:

NO, I am not. What/who are you? Qualified to discuss this? Any clue as to what you are talking about? In a parents basement masturbating to online porn between hits on letsrun?

If these two posts aren't evidence of racist letsrun posters I dont know what is. Wejo or rojo or hoho would be so proud.
Get some perspective in your life its just a race. Oh and be careful who and how you judge. Give yourself a few more years if your still so "pure" your time will come.
Everyone, you are getting off subject. Let me get back on it, Corpus Christi A&M are cheaters. They stole a conference title that was not there's. They cheated and will cheat again if given an opportunity. The SLC should kick the school out of the conference, what a worthless school.
Let's get back to the original subject then...cheating. The SFA girl is the one that actually cheated. If you wan to wax philosophy, then you have no leg to stand on. TAMUCC simply brought the cheat to light. Reporting a penalty is not cheating...get it straight in your depraved head man!!! The cheater is the one that was reported. You're so pitiful!!!!!
