Of course he should.
If the attempt was a disaster would he have been blamed?
The Republican spin machine is working overtime reframing this to Obama "politicizing a unifying moment"

I'm pretty sure that a SEAL team killed Osama.
So unless Obama pulls the trigger himself he should get no credit? This might get the thread deleted but its funny:“Thanks to President Obama, bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive,” Vice President Joe Biden said Thursday in a campaign speech. “You have to ask yourself, if Gov. Romney had been president, could he have used the same slogan – in reverse? “

He had to review and okay the mission as a "go," when they were not 100% sure it was BL in that compound.
Yes, he gets credit, as does the entire US forces that cooperated.
Bush let him escape.

He shouldn't get credit for doing something he didn't do. He can get credit for whatever his actual role was. If he made the order to kill Osama, he should get credit for making the order that resulted in Osama's death. He didn't kill Osama, though. So he should not get credit for killing Osama.
This is like saying that an offensive coordinator should get credit for throwing a touchdown pass. No. The coordinator might get credit for calling the play, but he didn't throw the pass and should not get credit for it.
The brojos aren't gonna let this thread live on, after all they used to sit on the lap of the traitor who decided it was more important to enrich Halliburton than to nail the son of a bitch who was responsible for 9/11.
Yes. Bush was too busy reshaping the Middle East and pursing the neocon wet dream to focus effort on catching Bin Laden. In his own words at the time he did not know where Bin Laden was and it was not that important to the war on terror.
Yes, he overruled his pvssy advisers and put boots on the ground rather than an airstrike.
If bin Laden gets "credit" for 9/11 then Obama should get credit for killing him. If you give credit only to the SEALs then you also have to only blame the hijackers, not bin Laden, and thus killing him was nothing more than an unjustified assassination.
Can't have it both ways, wing trolls.
If you tell somebody to run a sub 4 mile. Do you get credit for their sub 4 mile? All Obama did was give the order. The people that deserve credit are the people that actually killed Bin Laden.
Silly libs, Obama gets credit for bin laden but when it comes to the state of the economy he's not to blame. Bush's policies in the middle east made it possible for this raid to happen, just like he has a hand in the current economic state of this country
Obviously you can't begin to understand the complexity of this can you. You need to grow up and find out just how the world works. Naive.
Wait a sec...
Didn't Obama promise to bring the troops home when he became president? Aren't Democrats the ones with all the "Make peace, not war" bumper stickers? And yet they're proud that Obama made the order to kill bin Laden?
Double standard, anybody?

Bullsh\it! Obama performed his duties as commander-in-chief to an A+. He showed decisiveness, took responsibility and assumed the risk of failure at the moment when his country needed him. Bush sat there like a dumbf\uck and continued to read "My Pet Goat" while the country was under attack. Then he made up a bunch of lies and went after the wrong bad guy. Only the conservative sheep couldn't tell the difference between Osama's head on a platter and an ass pyramid of Iraqi POWs.

Actually Obama DOES get credit for the economy. When he was sworn in the economy was in a tailspin and economists were talking about looming 20% unemployment and a total collapse of the banking system and the US dollar. Today we have economic growth and job growth.
Get your facts straight or you look like a moron.

You must have "Democrats" confused with someone who said he wasn't that concerned about bin Laden. Who was that again?
as comander in chief of the armed forces, he does get credit. It was his job to get Bin Ladin and he got the job done, as much as this hurts to conservatives. Obama gets credit. next....
Wow, Obama's team got Bin Laden and that creates an intolerable level of dissonance for you conservatives. Read what you just wrote. Do you see your cognitive back flips and the rigid over focus on a small concrete point? Would you think this way if it was Bush who got him? And in your example, the offensive coordinator SHOULD get some credit when a team scores a touchdown!Just say Obama did well to get Bin Laden and then change the subject. I'd have more respect for that approach.(Now this will get the thread deleted - its an effective argument)

Mmmm, no confusion here. It's the liberals always preaching about how evil the war was in the first place and how we shouldn't have our armies overseas and blah blah blah blah blah.
But that is conveniently forgotten when you need to make Obama look good.

Actually, the president has very little impact on the economy.
Get your economics straight or you look like a media sheep.
