Discuss/someone do distance
What happened with Justin Allen going to Baylor? He's not on their roster...
Maybe he had to sit out a year for academic/eligibilty reasons? Anyone from Buff State shed some light on this?
Distance Predictions:
We all know that Berube will win whatever events he choses to do, so we'll exclude him from this conversation.
Mile:
-Clark,Streb, other geneseo guy
-Some Cortland/Brockport/Oneonta young guns thrown in there
5k:
-Novaro, Mateer, Wornter
DMR:
-Geneso
-Cortland
-Plattsburgh?
Does anyone think that Berube can break any of the SUNYAC records this year? He already has the 3k record at 8:17, but I would bet he can easily break that and the 5k record this year.
Any other records that could be looking to go down?
i like the predictions. geneseos dmr is going to be good as usual carter/streb/clark/? should be fun to see
Cotrland always has a good 4x4 so that should be fun to watch. geneseo/cortland distance are always fun to watch as well. im looking forward to see Chris Carter in the 800 because he just started racing it last year i have high hopes for him.
400: Banks, Campbell, Haskell, Linton
800: Mathews, Carter, Deboever, Haskins
mid d:
800- Carter/ Mathews
Mile- Streb/clark/gabrial
Geneseo Mid-d dominance will continue. They pulled in 3 sub 4:20 hs milers this year. After making the team's alternate spot in his first college cross season, Ryan Moynihan looks to be ready for a huge track season. Gabriel too looked great early season and much better than he ever has in cross. Put them in with Bronson, Carter, Streb, Clark, Berube, Deboever, and even Novara if he chooses... It's getting kind of ridiculous.

What about Amengual? He set the meet record at SUNYACs last year before Guarino broke it in the finals, he should be in consideration for the win this year after a pretty dirty cross season by his standards.
yea 25:38 for a mid d guy isnt too shabby

-Corcoran, Geneseo
10000:

-Brimstein, Geneseo
-Harvey, Oneonta
Some guys who could break into those ranks this year:
-Cortland's Marcantonio and Hopkins look like they will be in the mix in the 5k and 10k with Fannon and Amengual challenging in the 1500
-Geneseo has some super freshman in Gabriel and Moynihan who are both sub-4:20 coming out of high school. Brimstein was a super talent in high school though he didn't run XC, so who knows if he is still on the team. They also have some talented mid-distance guys in Moore (who had a great XC season), Bronson and Belenz who seem to be all over the place and injured a lot but seem capable of doing big things.
-Brockport's Matthews could be strong runner for them but didn't have the XC season you'd expect from a sub-4:00 guy
-Fredonia's Francia is steadily improving and they always seem to produce a few solid individuals in track
-Plattsburgh's Millar and Harrington haven't shown much outside of steeple but they had great races at SUNYAC's this year and could be contenders in the longer distances as well as the steeplechase
-Oneonta's Longo and Weber are solid mid-distance guys who have been improving well. Hopefully Weber will be healthy this year.

Its actually 4.2 but still a great time, he beat Guarino for Gods sake. Where was this guy in cross? Look out for him this year!
haha "4.4 miles." do people actually believe that still?
4.1 miles.
It is actually 4.17, but that's still 5 min pace for less than a mile short of an 8k. He was second from LAST in the Geneseo XC time trial.
