You are not a sprinter (I am, and white). The black sprinters I've met are more positive about Jeremy and white sprinters having some success than most people on letsrun for 2 reasons: (1) It means a bigger pie (more money) for everyone if white audiences can see that sprinting is not just a "black" sport. (2) Whites may better appreciate how hard (particularly the 44- and sub-10 guys) black sprinters work, and that their success is not just because of the color of their jeans. |

I've been sayin that for years. Black sprinters are happy about Wariner/Rock because 1, it continues our history (USA) of dominating the 400 and 2 it removes that image of black sprinters as being driven by talent but not working hard. |

Why do Iranians say they are from Persia? It hasn't been Persia for a thousand years. It is akin Italians saying they are Roman. Is it because of the negative conatation that goes along with Iran?
