      • Why do you feel the need to be so rude to to others that have done nothing to you? It’s a sign of deep insecurity. The obsession with “hobby joggers” on this forum makes no sense. If people want to casually run without wanting to get super fast, let them. If they’re working hard to be the best they can, then don’t fucking drag them down. So stop being a douchbag and start extending some kindness to fellow runners.

The United States has a bizarre system in which organized sports are funneled through the education system. In the end, you run against the clock, whether it’s at the PAC 12 meet or the Elkhart, Indiana, Turkey Trot.

      • I have 4 jackets and wear them proudly. I’m a 2:30 x 5 times and have averaged 60-80 Miles a week for 15 years. 20 plus marathons under 3. Yeah, you probably need to walk back the hobby jogger comment related to wearing the jacket bro.

      • I paid $90 for mine and could absolutely care less about the opinion of others when I wear it. You want to judge me as a hobby jogger? Go ahead. I believe "peak hobby jobber" is not actually knowing (or caring) what your time was, but presenting yourself as an actual runner.

        Let's say you're a 3:47 1500m runner or a 2:17:30 Marathoner. Being mean to slower runners helps you none. Are Jerry Rice and Randy Moss mean to people wearing their jerseys? No!

Can you ask him to get in touch because we have our very special "I ran Boston when the weather wasn't perfect 2018 & I'm really old" jackets to give him. He'll love it because it will differentiate him from the standard jacket wearing hobbyjoggers.

        2:43 is a definite hobby jogger.
