Carney takes the lead at 6. Group is together. Culpepper looks rough but is hanging on.

I guess Broe's having a hard time dealing with everyone who predicted his victory. :)

8 miles Carney Shay and Culpepper, Abdi is 29 yards back and Fam is 10 yds back from him. Sell has been caught by Lane who is moving well and could finish as high as 4th.

Shay wins, Culp second, I think Lane was third.

Rhines, Dryer, Russell, from what I could gather. They were all coming in at the same time because of the equalizer bonus; the women started early, men caught 'em.

I'd say Shay must be in the best shape of his life, assuming Culp was himself.

Either that or Culpepper is on his way out. It seems weird that Culpepper would choose to run Boston, while the real athletes are making other choices. It seemed equally as weird that Kennedy would run New York this past year for any reason other than a payday. We all know how that turned out big hype ZERO performance. I expect the Same from Culpepper in Boston.

Look jerky, Pepper boy is training to win the friggin' Boston Marathon, numbnuts! He ain't backing down his training for no two-bit 15K, sizzlechest! Hear what I'm sayin', Mike? Shay will run another 2:14 at Boston there, lizardlips! Open your f***ing eyes, jackass!

I think your underestimating Culpepper. He and Kennedy are in totaly different situations. Come on...the guy has only ran 3 marathons...and if I remember right he's ran fairly decent in all of them. He ran 2:09 at Chicago in his debut(best American debut ever w/ Salazar), he won the Olympic Trials, and finished 12th at the Olympics.

Why is Boston a bad choice?
Just a thought...

It is a great choice if you are looking for a payday at the end of your career.
