      • dark horse: a candidate or competitor about whom little is known. BTW - TV coverage starts at 3:30 here in the States, women go off at 4:15 and men at 5am

        Not sure what world you're living in to put Kipchoge down for 4th. He hasn't lost a marathon since his debut where Wilson set the world record. I guess the fact that every one he has run well makes you think hes bound to have a bad race....

      • Anyone ever notice Kipchoge has a knack for hitting marathons in 30 second intervals? He does it once a year. Expect big things.

        2013 Hamburg: 2:05:30
        2014 Rotterdam: 2:05:00
        2015 Berlin: 2:04:00.

      • I just want to note here. In the women's preview it said that Sara Hall DNF the LA 2015 marathon, but I think that she just ran it really poorly with a slow time.

        Side note - happy to see Craig Mottram is running. I doubt he'll run anything great but I loved watching him compete back in the day.

      • I see Biwott and Kipchoge definitely top 3. Other than that it's tough. Kipsang may be past his prime and Kimetto is really a question mark at this point. Bekele... Who knows

        Kipsang: Generous spirit (gives back to community), thoughtful and good-natured, opposite of resting bitch face --frequently found smiling; perfunctory with the sponsorship tweets (also saw him drop the Berlin/BMW race flag they kept trying to drape over him for the Kenyan flag, rightfully so):

        Kimetto: More reserved and shy? Maybe just because he has less of a fluency in English? Seems to take better selfies and is well hydrated for now:

        Bekele: said to be shy but extremely nice and generous. Probably creeped out by overzealous guys taking videos of him running in English parks.
