Is that the HS record? I can't find the HS records anywhere. I know up until 2005,Melody Fairchild had the record at 9:17.7. Where can i find indoor and outdoor high school records? |

Its definitely the record, and if this is indoors, she will definitely go sub 9:30 2 miles outdoors. Crazy stuff! We're talking a junior who can already win boys meets in many states. |

INCREDIBLE!!! National Indoor record by 15 seconds!!! Doesn't that convert to a 9:42 3200?!?!?!?!?!?! That would put her 6 seconds under the outdoor record.... in early January!! What a time for girls US distance running. Cain and Baxter are both still juniors!! |

That time would probably remain in the top 5 of the NCAA rankings for the entire season! and it's so early! Who's to say she won't lower that time even more. She now has a faster 3k PR than Jordan Hasay. That time is only 2 seconds slower than what NCAA champ Emily Infeld ran last year!! |

9:02.06 official. How fast can she go? 8:50?! It's her first indoor race of the season... and she beat Erdmann who is VERY VERY good in her own right. |

For perspective, last year she ran a 3k at the Yale Invitational and lost to Samantha Nadel and Haley Pierce, running 9:48. She has improved 46 SECONDS in a year...her strength is improving rapidly. The sky is truly the limit for this one |
