Last year the United States had an African born runner carry our flag. Whats wrong with Kenya having an Kenyan born swimmer carry their flag? |

The difference is their are many African Americans in the US and on the team, but there are very few white Kenyans. Also there are some great Kenyan runners who have a great chance to win gold, whereas the flag bearer has no chance. I found that very weird. |

Yeah, I expect the USA, GB, France and a few others to have very diverse looking teams. I did not expect Kenya to have very much diversity. In fact, their delegation is not diverse. It looked like only two white dudes among the group. It was just a by of a surprise to see. That's all. |

Last year? You mean, at the 2011 Olympics?? I seem to have missed that one. Let's face it though, the rest of their team has a chance to medal. This must be the consolation prize. |

You are clearly clueless about Kenya. How about the many white, Indian, etc, third - fourth generation Kenyans? How about Dr. Richard Leakey who is a third generation Kenyan? How about once in a while Kenya showing off it's diversity on a global stage - so that you too may know what goes on outside your own small world? When was the last time a Mzungu carried the flag. It's about time. It's about the spirit of the Olympics, where the world comes together. Mimi ni Mzungu na pia ni Mkenya asili! |
