Perdita Felicien just false started , initial DQ . She is protesting. Priscilla Lopes-Schliep hit a hurdle and ran out of her lane ,DQ and finished 6th. Alex Gardiner looks stunned.

There was actually no clear favorites. Any of the top 6 had a chance. Actually, maybe Whyte was seen as the weakest one of the 6. So maybe 5 had a chance of winning.

The 2 sentimental favorites were Lopez and Felicien. They are both out.

Pressuring JZ to step down and do the hep only?

That was a great race. Niki Holder, Jessica Zelinka (Who just finished setting the Can record at Hep at 6790) and Phylicia George (Can 100m champ) are the top 3 and are all world class.

Not making it were Perdita Felician (World Champ) and Lopes - Shliep (Silver in Bejing and Diamond League Champ)

BTW Both Zelinka and Thiesson would have qualified at the US trials. Jessica has a chance at a medal.

6599 I believe. Which is really good, but not as good as 6790... Maybe she can achieve 6790 at the Olympics however... Let's hope...

From the Toronto Star:

"Zelinka said she would “definitely” consider appealing to be named to the team on the basis of her previous body of work, which includes a silver medal at the 2009 world championship."

WTF???

She came 6th. 1-5 all have the A.

How is there even discussion of an appeal here?
