http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0K7w_3K_x8&feature=youtu.be Racers Track Club is really playing up the suspense for the men's Olympic 100m. Bolt holds back at the start and 'barely edges' Asafa, who is running 'sick' or injured. What a crock. Take a look at slowmo @ roughly 1:09 and you'll see Usain looking over at Powell as he paces him for 2nd. He wasn't even looking at Blake, who was going to 'win' from jump. My prediction for the Olympics... Bolt is running against no one - except himself. He is not getting any younger and will be running to break his WR which no one can touch at the moment. We need Tyson Gay and Gatlin on the track to really see what these guys are capable of. |

I guarantee Bolt breaks his 100m world record. |

the real joke is that they are all doped to the gills!!!!!! |

The only drug these guys are on is good ol' ganja. |

Bolt won't touch his WR. Its too good. I think he goes 9.65. He's not in the same shape. In the 200 its a different story. |

Bolt is in good shape, one bad start in a race deosn't mean he's not. And If he doesn't break the 100 record, why do you think he can break the 200? He needs the speed... |

I agree here. The 200m WR isn't any easier than the 100m. It only appears so because MJ and YB ran similar times. But those two performances are crazy, too. |

I don't think they're doped this year, with the exception of Blake. That 9.75 by Bolt was one of the fastest honest 100m races ever run. |

Not only is Bolt an amazing athlete, but a perfect showman. I never believe in these stupid things, like Galen purposely not shaking someone's hand, or any other conspiracy theory and all that crap. But at this point I think Bolt is purposely going easy in order to get more money, to make track more popular, and to make the olympic final amazing. For example, the same way in the semi's in 2008 he went easy and exploded in the finals I think he is doing the same thing now. I dont have the source, but I read Bolt say once that he doesn't want to make his record too fast because then it will be harder for him to break. He wants to improve it by small amounts each time. This plan is awesome and i think he is ding the same. |

I've never seen a sprinter suffer more than Bolt did after setting his 200 wr, writhing around on the ground gasping for breath for quite some time. There was nothing held back in that performance, and at the time I was left wondering if he might have suffered longer term damage to his heart. I don't see him ever breaking his mark. |

The 100m final at the Olympics is going to be insane to say the least. |

what about Fraser? 10:70 is very fast. |

Yes he went hard in the 200m. but he was slow and easy up until that 200m, besides the 100m final. Although it is hard now, its like his goal is to come outta now where and break everyone's expectations. |

He's in great shape, actually. Dude was holding back.. no conspiracy there, it's just good show busine$$. When have you ever seen Powell lead him up to the line like that? Then to make it worse, Powell limps off being supported by medical personnel, as if to say he was running sick. I'm telling you, it's a farce. Believe nothing till the Olympics. |

Bolt might be good, but I don't see him ever running 9:58. That record is there to stay and the best he could run is in the upper 9:60s. And whoever thinks Bolt held back, he didn't. That was one of his poor starts and that is what might cost him the Gold come the Olympics. In the Olympics he can't afford any poor starts as if Yohan gets two steps ahead of him, he can hardly catch up. What he needs is a perfect start. And let's not forget that Bolt is a human, and he is really nervous about Yohan. At the moment Yohan is playing a nerves game with Bolt by not running against him. For Bolt to get back his confidence against Yohan he needs to run against him once again before the Olympics, but that won't happen I guess. So Bolt will be toeing the line with two defeats from Yohan in the back of his mind. That would weigh heavily on him. (I count his DQ as a defeat as it was as a result of nerves). And I am not surprised Yohan will beat bolt in the 200m Jamaican trials. Mark my words! |

Here's the deal. Bolt just likes to party and stay up all night everyday. Maybe this defeat will get him to focus. Either way it didn't look like he want all out in the video. He had a terrible start and eased up the final 10 meters. He wasn't going to win but it could have been closer. |

BS he ran 9.76 without peaking. How 9.76 isn't doped yet his first WR in New York in 08' is. Too much money in it not to be juiced. He's only going to be worth 20+ million a year for a short time and that will drop significantly if he doesn't break 9.60 on the biggest world stage. |

I'm really getting tired of the all the doping accusations. Are you guy really fans of T&F or do your trollistic tendencies overcome that? Moreover, the bulk of the accusations seem to be coming from the USA, the biggest offender. Can't count the amount of times I see the same guys saying Gatlin is running clean now, while accusing the Jamaicans of being "doped to the gills" in other threads. Give it a rest, it's getting ridiculous. |
