Is Melanie Adams actually still competing in the pole vault? There are a bunch of articles saying she will represent Australia at the 2012 Olympics but I can't find any results for her since 2010.

I'm going to have to pull rank on you on this one and say that she does matter.

Yeah, she matters. Plus the Quote of the Day earlier this week was about a 50-year-old male javelin thrower, so "letsrun" has flexible boundaries.

Bump. Anyone else have any info? The matter is of the utmost important. If she is retired I will sadly have to disqualify her from my 'Hottest Track & Field Athlete Tournament'.

Already told you she has retired. Now she models and keeps herself hyper-fit. I've known her since she was 11.

Actually you're wrong. My friend tweeted her and she's not retired. She's training and hopes to compete in 2013

ok well i talked to her coach and apparently she has done a couple of random sessions over the last few months. She did a pole vault photo shoot in NZ and had to do a little prep. She may or may not begin training for vault seriously. But if she does, most of the physical side has been kept in pretty sweeeeeet shape so it shouldn't take long. But she did retire two seasons ago.
