13.32.99 in Tunis! Last day to qualify he goes O.O1 seconds under the standard? Is there any proof that this race is real?? Pictures or wathever... Number 2 in the race didn't run track (or indoors/cross/road) in 2years! Why go to Tunis for a crappy race if you only need to run 13.33! i don't believe this... |

To summarize: 1. He qualifies for the Olympic trials by .01 seconds at a race in Tunisia at the last possible moment. 2. There is a photo of the podium from the race where he finished 3rd, but he isn't on it. In fact some other guy is proudly holding the 3rd place prize. Yeah, this seems like it is worth looking into. |

It looks like he was already over in Tunis. He raced at Rades which is about 25 minutes away just 10 days ago. He ran the 1500. A 3'36 "63 Marouane Habti Morocco 2 3'36 "82 HAMAD Nour imed Saudi Arabia 3 3'37 "96 KEBLIMOU Tchercher Houssia Kenya 4 3'39 "14 Ben Amor YAHIA CSProtCivile 5 3'42 "36 Mohamed TRAFEH USA Yes his 5k time looks a little fishy being .01 under the A standard but it's not like it isn't possible. He did run 13:39.71 on May 19th and won the race by :22 seconds, so it's not too far of a stretch to think he could run :7 seconds faster with people to race with. |
