I was leading the local 5K by about 10 seconds with about half a mile left in the race. The bike path that we're running on was not closed to the general public and there were families biking on there.
This 6-years-old boy crashes right in front of me. The first thought that entered my head was "do I hurdle over him or go around?". A few seconds after I passed it occurred to me that maybe I could've stopped and helped him?
What would you have done? If it helps I was on pace for a huge PR. (and like I mentioned in the beginning, my lead was somewhat slim)
