I am comletely apathetic about everything else in life. Besides thinking about my next run, I just dont care about what lies ahead in life. I just try to "get through" the rest of the day. Without running, I feel like life would be pointless. Any one else feel like this? |

I never felt that way, even as a D1 All-America runner. I am not trying to be mean, but you need to start caring about other things or you'll wind up depressed and suicidal. Running is awesome, but it is a hobby for 99.999% of the population, including you. I ran sub 28:30 for the 10k and I still couldn't make a living on it. |

This is pretty pathetic. Never should running consume one's life unless you are a pro. Seriously dude, find some other hobby. You'll come off less as a one dimensional person and maybe even score yourself some ass. |

Methinks you overestimate the amount of the population who run. |

I do look forward to running everyday, even though I'm not really fast and no where near elite. I just run because I like it, but obviously I do care about life. I care about my job, my family, and other responsibilities. I agree though, I wouldn't be the same without running, it really had a positive impact on my life. |

What is your age? All of life is arguably pointless, certainly including running. Once you accept this, you can learn to deal with it. |

Wow, Cliff, for once you speak the truth. Life is indeed meaningless; it's good that you have found something to give your life some meaning, though as others said you might want to try branching out. Some combination of family, friends, work and religion do it for most people. |

I'm going to assume you're young (between high school or just recently graduated). There's so much more to life other than running. Running is a huge part of my life right now as I'm in college, but honestly I get sick of it sometimes because of how much dedication it takes and how sometimes running does not allow me to be a regular college student (example: a huge party or someone's 21st birthday that I can't go to/celebrate because of either training or a race the next day). I'll probably continue to run after I graduate, but it won't be a huge part of my life as it is now as there's so much I want to do that I couldn't do because running wouldn't allow me (example: join a basketball rec league, go to bars/clubs on the weekends without having to worry about training/races, etc.) It's cool to love running, but it shouldn't be your life unless you're able to make a good living out of it. |

Sorry I wasn't clear about that. Cliff, does trolling not give you some sense of meaning? |

Stop committing idolatry. You seek the praise of men more than the praise of God, and that is nothing but vanity. |
