Abdi's two Arizona-based training partners, Marty Fagan and Ezkyas Sisay, have BOTH been busted for EPO. He also raves about Lagat who had the positive "A" sample and negative "B" sample. http://www.usada.org/media/sanction-sisay5312012 http://olympictrials.runnersworld.com/2012/01/12/a-brief-chat-with-abdi-abdirahman/ Something is a little fishy here. |

You have a point. Abdi should be replaced by Ritz by US Olympic Commitee. To avoid possible scandals. |

Often quite dirty. And smelly. But we might be talking about different things. |

Yes, but you can't get rid of him without a positive test or catch him possessing the stuff. |

You apparently don't know what "begs the question" means. Hint: it does not mean "that raises the question . . . " or anything remotely similar. |

he is also good friends with another arizona based runner that tested positive for EPO |

I pray that you're being sarcastic. But with the brains of some of the Nike/Ritz fanboys on this site, I'm afraid the kids may take you seriously. That would be the only way Ritz is getting to the Olympics, though. |

I wouldn't passionately defend someone I don't know, but it does seem that Abdi doesn't actually care enough about running to take the time to cheat. |

That would really suck if it turned out abdi was dirty too. I never suspected him and all of his accomplishments just seemed plausible to me that he would be clean. If someone like abdi were caught, I would start to question a lot more runners than before. |

Lagat has been tested very frequently since incident in 2003... Abdi runs just 100miles/week and that's not much for a marathoner....but there is still no proof that he doped.... so stfu until there will be positive test. |

Even if Abdi is completely clean and always has been a lot of people are going to say "Where there's smoke there's fire" In this case there isn't just smoke. Abdi is right in the middle of a burning building. |

Dope tests don't catch anyone else they're stupid. Losing two training partners is a bit sketchy, you have to admit. |

Who knows, but Abdi's typically extends an invitation to anyone he meets to come out and train with him. Opportunistic people (those who are doping), will probably also take advantage of Abdi's hospitality. Perhaps he should be more careful with who he's around, but it doesn't necessarily mean he's guilty. |

Keep in mind that Abdi's not in any official training group. Yes, guys he's trained with have been caught doping, but it seems like they're down at Flagstaff for a couple months and seek out Abdi. Not really a training group. |

The only real question here is: Since NONE of us here can possibly know the truth - why bother asking the question? |
