10/10. There were other teams that did well too. LSU and Florida both did very well out of their Region. I agree that Oregon exceeded expectations, but there are other good teams out there and they also deserve kudos. |

No, how about the alums of THOSE schools who would know much more accurately who out-performed the predictions for their teams...post the kudos? We don't have time to follow the entire teams of multiple schools you know! That said, Oregon really did out perform expectations by far. ESPECIALLY since Duck athletes often Bonk in heat and humidity. So for Oregon this really was an unusual accomplishment. (Which of course all means nothing if they bonk in Des Moines, lol.) College track is, however, more fun to follow than the pro's. |

LSU's women's team will probably win the women's title, Kimberlyn Duncan and Semoy Hackett will pile up about 45 point by themselves! Those 100/200/4x100 multiple event people can really score points in a hurry. |

Truth that. Too bad EG isn't old enough to add the 200. I won't be surprised if she takes the individual 100 title. The interesting thing for the Ducks will be to see if they can nickle and dime some points from women they never expected to get point from that have made it through to DM. Should be entertaining. |

Yeah it's really too bad English Gardner isn't running the 200 as well as the 100. That's Oregon losing 10 points in the 200 right thier. Oh well i'm thinking she wins the 100 easy. Also wish other Oregon ladies were doubling besides Woodard like PAC 12 Champ Kolinski in the 10 K Hasay in the 5 K Theisen in the High jump and short hurdles. Kesselring in the 1,500 and so on. Oregon is relying on big points from each individual athlete in only 1 individual event that said Oregon should win the Women team champ Easy. The Lady Ducks have an easy 10 points from Theisen in the Pentathlon,10 points in the 100 Garnder, At least 10-15 in the 1,500 with Hasay and Friday, At least 4 and most likely 10 points in the 4 by 400 the Ducks had the fastest time in regionals in that event by over a second. With 3 Beastly Lady Ducks Kesseling,Roesler and Francis in the 800 the Ducks will get at least 10 points and most likely 15 at the very least in the 800. The 3 lady Ducks in the 3 K Step. will score at least 2-3 points. Look for Oregon to score at least 3-4 points in the 400 with with Phyllis Francis and Okodogbe and up to 8 or so. Look for Newson to get at least 2 to 5 points in the T.J. Woodard and Kosinski to score at least 4 to 10 points in the 5 K the 4 by 100 to score probably 3-6 points at the very least. And Woodard to score at least 1-4 points in the 10 K. So when i tally up Oregon points at the very least that's 59 points and up to 86 at the most. The Oregon women should win going away i just hope the men get top 5? |

No way Gardner is within 0.25 of Duncan (22.22 WL). Gardner does not (yet) have good speed endurance for the 200, is her PR even under 23? |

LSU women have this on lock down! This won't even be close! Their sprinting is just too strong. It's and endless wave of fast points. 100 Meters, Bam 14 points, 200 Meters Bam 16 points, 4x400 4x100 bam 16 points, 400 hurdles bam 8 points... Oregon has zero chance!! Going to be a lot of sad ducks!! Especially if it is hot, much easier to melt down in 5k's and 10k's in the searing heat, meanwhile the sprinters are done and sitting in the shade laughing at the Ducks trying to scramble for points! LSU LSU LSU!!! |

Uhhh, you guys are forgetting a few things.... Even Vin has admitted that with Centro and Lukas leaving the program, the Oregon men are not going to score a lot of points (presently #21 by USTFCCCA). Yeah, Nike buys a lot of mediocre athletes--how they win conference--but in nationals, most of these don't score. And what you're also leaving out: Arizona did well (Lalang, Sambu and others are going to score a lot of points) USC did well (Aaron Brown in 2 events, 3 45-point 400 runners, and the #9 4X4 in the world are going to score a lot of points) ASU maybe didn't do quite as well, but Clarke, Benard, Burrows and some others are going to score plenty of points. All three schools listed above are expected to finish ahead of Oregon, which is only the 5th best Pac-12 team according to coaches. You can't even call them a 3rd-rate program: They're not even that good. The Oregon women were ranked #5 last week, so don't talk about how they're going to walk out there and win going away. I guess Nike Oregon is going to have to pay more bribes to athletes, which is what the NCAA put them on probation for in football. |

Hey coach d, are you bitter much? Ever since you put foot in mouth over Centrowitz, your credibility has been less than zero on this board. Reality is that the Oregon women will probably be ranked around 2nd or 3rd after Regional results are compiled. The Oregon men will likely be ranked around 5th, with their very young squad of mostly freshmen. |
