I recently became attracted the face and personality of a woman that is at least 180lbs? She's probably 5'7. Upper body is relatively normal size but the lower body is out of proportion to the upper in that it's much larger. I just can't date her because of the size. Most of the problem is that our lifestyles are so different. She's vegetarian, I eat meat. She's outgoing but can't keep up. I'm 6'0 and 155lbs. Have/do you dated someone significantly heavier than you as a male or even smaller than you if you're a female? Did it work out? Yes, there's a slight bit of vanity involved too. I'd go anywhere with her as a non-dating couple but not together. Swear this isn't a troll. Real questions. |

Hey if you like her that is all that matters, but I could never ever date someone heavier than me. No matter what the rest of their life looked like I could never respect someone enough to date them if they let themselves go that badly. Our priorities would be too vastly different. |

By the way there is no chance that this will change. People, and women especially, gain weight as they age. |

I feel that an overweight person is typically lazy, undisciplined, and lacks self-respect. It's too bad because there are a lot of wonderful people out there who have a very tough time getting dates etc. because of their weight, but that's the way it goes. I couldn't date someone like that personally, especially being very fit/active. |

How is she that out of shape if she's vegetarian? Most vegetarians I know are fairly thin simply because of their restrictive diet... |

She feels the same way about your scrawny a$$, so where's the problem? |

At 125, all chicks I hook up w are heavier. Hips don't lie and neither do I. No complaints on either side. Signed Marc Anthony. |

She feels the same way about your scrawny a$$, so where's the problem?[/quote] Is 6'0" 155 really "scrawny"? I'll say that some fat chicks are attractive in a way, but I doubt I could have a relationship with one long term, because of lifestyle differences. Same thing applies to all sort of personal qualities; there's nothing wrong with chicks that that exhibit them, I just have my likes and dislikes. It's not you - it's me. |

Yes, 6'0" is scrawny. And what are those lifestyle differences? Are you saying you will only date women who also run? |

No, but I like doing active, outdoorsy kind of stuff. Running, hiking, riding bicycles, playing sports that sort of thing. I'd like someone I could share that with. |

Significantly heavier, probably not, but definitely significantly fatter. I'm close to a Clydesdale Runner in weight (tall and muscular). It really was never a big issue. I've always said that I'd rather date someone 30 pounds overweight but active than a skinny sloth. But all of my heavier GFs had the tig old bitties, which was good compensation. A heavy girl that carried it all in her lower half wouldn't do it for me. I had more of an issue with an ugly girl I dated - never could introduce her to any of my friends. |

Yes it is scrawny. I'm 5'9 160 on a good day and i'm skinny. then again in my circle of running friends i've been told i'm buff. but even if i were 155 i'd think i was damn fit. I'd have to be watching what i eat AND running like 50mpw for a month to get there. doesn't south like a lot but i've only ever touched 50 once.

At 180, she should have no trouble going for a hike or riding a bike or swimming etc. And if you're a fit male, there are very few women who are going to be able to keep up with you when you do those activities. You simply slow down you're pace. My girlfriend rides her bike when I go running. |

It all depends on the chick and your feelings - not ours. It's not unnatural to be crazy for a big girl. But if you're not - do not waste each other's time. |

Really? I've got to think that most girls would be real fat at 180 lb. The heaviest woman I've dated was about 120, and she was probably an average body type. I can't picture her with another 60 pounds. |

Yeah, she's not keeping up with me even on a slow day and I don't think I can handle that. As to the vegetarian question, I have no idea how she became that size. I guess it's just genetics. She does eat pizza and dessert like it's going out of style plus drinks beer occasionally. She's attracted to tall thin guys like me. I know my answer is that I can't date her. Just wondered if I could find a different perspective that would change my mind. No luck. Oh well, we'll both be better off in the long run. |

Junkfood vegetarian? I know its an oxymoron, but someone could say "vegetarian" and eat doughnuts all day... |

I know quite a few vegetarians who are not thin. |

You either like her or not. Don't try to change her or expect her to change. At 5-7 and 135 most of the medium height or taller women I dated tended to be close to my weight or heavier. One girl was 5-7 155 pounds. But we had a great summer. No complaints. |
