The Human Right to marry who you want is none of your business. The Federal Courts have decided that's how it is.

Please explain how a constitutional amendment, like the ones voted on in those 31 states, can be unconstitutional?

State constitutional amendments can be in violation of preceding portions of the state constitution, or as the above poster pointed out, they can be in violation of the federal constitution, which is always supreme to state law and constitutions.

Most of them will overturn those laws and amendments in the future. Bigotry does not become us Americans, but we still seem slow to let it go. Interestingly, for a country so fiercely protective of our individual rights, we sure aren't eager to extend those rights to others who are different than us.

Yup, hard to see why people are so eager to deny people basic rights that don't affect them in any way. There isn't a single non-bigoted argument for denying gay rights.

Read the OP's post 31-0. THE PEOPLE voted against this.

Marriage is between a MAN and a WOMAN. Definitions matter. Now go run your 5K "marathon" and tell me about it tomorrow in the office. I'll be so impressed with your 31:56 times and totally ignore the 2:03 times of real marathoners.
Wait . . . what?

I'd imagine many constitutional amendments are in violation of the preceding portions. The 21st Amendment to the US Constitution is an example that comes to mind.

Gay Marriage Rights is an important step towards legitimizing Occupy Wall Streeters and full recognition of ONE SECULAR Palestinian state replacing the controversial current U.S. military government in Palestine aka Israel.
