Is he trying to keep his "brogrammer" cred, or just totally out of touch with reality? Calculated or not. What say you? Also, what do you picture Let'sRun's own genius investor, Flagpole, rocking while he trades? |

First of all...Zuckerberg doesn't "rock" anything...he wears one...but he doesn't have the ability to rock anything...he's a billionaire, so he just thinks he's cool. Basically he wants to make the hoodie like Steve Jobs did the turtleneck. |

silliness that this is creating any buzz at all . . . They once fired Steve Jobs from the company he created because he wasn't corporate enough. Who cares what he wears? Corporate stiffs have to wear the uniform. Mega-successful entrepreneurs do not. |

I don't really see your point. |

Not so sure. I think it was a miscalculation. Wearing a hoodie has crossed over in the main stream media and now signifies something different in for older investors-- who have all the money BTW. My mom told me I shouldn't let my 8 year old wear a hoodie. Besides, Zukerberg isn't Jobs. Jobs didn't have Asperger's. He was classic borderline narcissistic personality disorder. I'm solidly in the camp that Zuck had NO IDEA how wearing the hoodie would be perceived, that it wasn't calculated, and no one stood up the the emperor with no clothes. That does not bode well for Facebook's future. |

1) I'm not a genius anything. 2) I don't trade, I invest. 3) I am nowhere on the fashion scale. Shorts and t-shirts in the summer, jeans or sweats and long sleeve t-shirts or short sleeve t-shirts with a sweatshirt of some sort (sometimes a hoodie). I will put on a polo and khakis for church, but that's about as fancy as I get with clothes. Just not into fashion...never have been.

Flagpole, are you Catholic? Also, OP, I think you need to re-read the Emperor Wears No Clothes. |

Zuck holds the cards; Wall Street is the one with something to gain. Zuck wears what he wants and Wall Street tries to impress him. That being said, I think Zuck is a tool. |

1) I am not Catholic. 2) At first glance, one might think you made a mistake and meant to say "The Emperor's New Clothes", but you of course did NOT make a mistake and want me to "re-read" "The Emperor Wears No Clothes". If I did read it, it would be for the first time.

It's The Emperor's New Clothes. If you read my post, you should be able to follow I drop the allusion with regard to his advisors. Zuck isn't the Emperor, as I mentioned earlier, my take is he's oblivious. His advisors, like the story, don't have the balls to say, "Dude, lose the hoodie for a day, it's got some baggage in the cultural zeitgeist. Just go with a layered long-sleeve shirt and a geeky vintage T. No, put down the black turtleneck." |

The only question is will they invest in his compnay or not. He is looking to sell shares. Will people buy shares of his company? It looks like they will. And it looks like they will pay well for those shares. Does anyone think that wearing the hooded sweatshirt drove the price down at all? |

Guess I did miss the "OP" in there. Sorry brother. Gave you the benefit of the doubt that you actually MEANT the book "The Emperor Wears No Clothes", but you actually made the mistake (you admitted later) where you actually meant "The Emperor's New Clothes". Just sayin'. :)

No, Zuckerberg is the guy who invented a multi-billion dollar company. He can wear whatever he wants, and it won't mean a thing to Wall Street. |

Don't apologize. You screw up all the time. We're used to it. I am a woman, so please don't call me brother. |

Hoodies have cultural baggage? Mark Harmon had one on in this weeks episode of NCIS, and that's one of the most popular shows on TV. |
