Letsrun.com- My high school teammate was paralyzed from the waist down in May of 2008, just 4 days after placing 4th at State in the high jump. (Missouri, athlete Mike Rathmann). Within one year of his accident, his mother got breast cancer and his brother was diagnosed with epilepsy. His father is already dying from caner. This luck may be the worst luck a family could ever have. He is being nominated to win a van so he can drive himself.
