A friend of mine was working at a restaurant in college. Driving home really late at night after closing. I guess he accidentally cut a guy off, I think he just assumed there was no one else on the road. The guy followed him all the way home. My friend attempted to run into his house from the car and the guy caught him before he could, grabbed him by his jacket and pressed the burning cigarette he had in his mouth onto my friends forehead. He then threw my friend to the ground walked to his car and drove away. Crazy. |

if that really happened to your friend he deserved it. No 'grown' man over 18 years of age should let himself get bitched around. |

Years ago, a guy got out of his car at a red light and started banging on my mom's window (she was driving), screaming gibberish. The light turned green, my mom hit the gas, and he kicked the side of the car as we pulled away. We never saw him again, and neither of us have any idea what he was fired up about. |

About 9 day ago as I exited the parking lot of my church, an inebriated man from another township sideswiped my truck. The alcohol on his breath was extreme, so I called the police. Within about 6 to 8 minute, he managed to disassemble the front-end of his vehicle, and switch it out with a piece from his truck bed. In all the melee, my pastor literally chased the guy down with the Easter staff behind the altar, and smoted the man in the temple, thereby incapacitating him for the time-being, until the ploice arrived. |

In my experience parking rage is worse than road rage. The latter gets all the press due to to its alliteration, IMO. I never forget when I was in downtown chicago, I spotted a parking spot and darted into it w/ my compact Nissan Pulsar NX, a great car. But a big guy with a foreign accent (Russian maybe?) in a big Lincoln started yelling at me, "I waiting for that spot." I said well you waited too long. "I cannot guarantee what happen to your car if you leave here," he replied angrily. I had things to do so I just said ok fine, and drove away, leaving him his precious spot. |

I've heard of similar stories with some form of that passive-agressive threat before. I find it an odd threat though. I mean, unless you had a lot of things to do, what would have stopped you from threatening him with the same thing if he took the spot? Seems like you could have a Russian-American Mexican standoff pretty easily in such a situation. And then nobody wins, except the terrorists. |
