Agreed. It was a great run. What happened to her blog? |

Is she married to John Lucas? |
| Ask a silly question... |

No, George Lucas. Actually it's Ian Dobson. |

Actually, at the moment, Jordan Hasay is no Julia Lucas. Very pleased to see Julia's success. |

Definitely a nice comeback for her. |

I guess they got injured and didn't want to keep talking about being injured and frustrated, but the blog was one of those things that professional runners really ought to be doing to market themselves. The mistake a lot of runners make is to be very streaky about posting information which is not a good way to build an audience. On top of never letting anyone know when they are running and so on. Maybe Alan Webb can get away with being mysterious but I think a bit more information from other runners would help build the fan base for track. Anyway, their blog was a nice effort and it's too bad they didn't keep it up. It's great to see them both running well again, and 15:08 is especially impressive. |

How well is that working for him? |

Of course it would help Webb build more of a fan base and help justify whatever Nike spends on him if Webb communicated with the running public more. However, he still gets plenty of attention from places like LR even when he is not running. For people who aren't already the AR holder and so on it's even more important for their careers and for track if they are more like Lauren Fleshman, Ryan Hall, etc. and try to build up fan support for themselves and for the sport. |

The blog really was depressing because it seemed like it was just constantly about being injured or sick. I kept going there just to see pictures of Julia though. Dat short hair. |

I thought it was really cool that she did so well, mostly because I feel like I know a little something about her from reading her old blog. It's a lot more meaningful when you see results about people you know something about. |
