In the men's 1500s there were ~29 sub-4 equivalents. And yes it was a good meet. Other than Sally K, not a lot of super-fast times, but lots of tight finishes and good racing, really fun to watch.

are you high? are you joking? when the masses logged onto floshit to watch Webb the sight basically shut down. the race was interupted constantly and then turned black when the race was ending.

flotrack is low-rent and proved that it always will be.

It is absolutely incredible how entitled some people feel. I'm sure you'd be the first to bitch if flotrack decided to charge people.

charge people!? thats laughable! for what? and who goes to that low rent site anyway. The one time they got some visitors the site shut down.

I think they proved to the people that their service is not worth anything. NOBODY SAW THE WHOLE WEBB RACE!

You are damn right I would complain if I was stupid enough to pay for flotrack and then the sight shuts down during the important races.

Agreed, superb work. The multiple cameras for the different packs, enthusiastic commentary including detailed pacing information, and of course, the meet itself was quite a thrill. Hats off to both Flotrack and Stanford. Thanks Flotrack!

The coverage was awesome for the distance events.

I especially liked the split screens at times, for example showing Sally Kipyego running by herself, and the 2nd screen showing the group behind her. That was great! The video during the races was excellent.

However the last laps and finish coverage really sucked. Why do such a great job with the bulk of the races, then screw up the finishes?????

What happened is the camera would zoom down on the leader/s in the last 1/2 lap, and not show anymore of the rest of the races anymore! The video would zoom in more tightly on the leader/s until finally only showing the finish line! What the camera should do is show all of the rest of the runners coming down the stretch! Either show all of the stretch, or alternate with showing all the stretch, last 1/2 lap, and last 1/2 of the straight - but don't ever show only the finish line! Good grief does this even have to be mentioned?? It is crazy, and this has happened before.

Overall, excellent coverage of the 5 and 10,000's, except for the finishes. I enjoyed the post race interviews too.

Absolutely great meet and coverage. Flotrack is changing T & F by themselves.

Don't know what you were watching, but I saw the whole Webb race on Flotrack. I think it was before the race when the glitch happened - lasted about 5 minutes and they re-set it and everything was great the rest of the night. Announcing was great too, those guys are so knowledgeable about all the runners in the races. NBC should hire those guys and replace Carol Lewis and crew - now they SUCK. Stop bitching about FloTrack - if it weren't for them we wouldn't be able to watch any of these races live. They also like to interact with the chat participants too on occasion - case in point, before coverage started at 4:15 a few folks wanted to watch heat 3 of the men's steeple and were begging FLoTrack to start coverage 10 minutes early so they could see the race. They did. I thought that was pretty cool.

It must have been some other problem. I had no trouble during either of Webb's races.

The whole Webb race is available for you to watch or download today and as others have said not everyone had that problem. Blame your low rent internet connection. If flotrack didn't cover these meets you would never get anything, do you want that? I agree that this doesn't give flotrack a free pass, if they do a bad job they should be called on it. But they did an exceptional job yesterday and have been for a while, what other running site even compares in terms of video coverage? Runnerspace? They are ok but they have had streaming issues in the past as well.

++!

Especially egregious was the Mt SAC women's 5K finish. Overall great work and commentary though. Ryan's reaction to Lomong's antics was priceless.
