Who has a better chance of actually racing? Rupp (pollen) or Ritz (injury) 10% chance both of them race 60% chance one of them races 30% chance neither of them race |

Lauft der Solinsky nicht? |

----------------------------------------------- I agree it's unlikely both of them will run. I think it's more likely Rupp will run....probably with a mask. I'd say there's a 75% chance Rupp will run. Ritz evidently hurt his toe and will likely be placed on IR for the remainder of the season a la Solinsky. |

This could either be a race where Rupp pops a 12:50 low for an AR or the race turns into a stupid sit and kick 13:05. Cragg should just rabbit since he never finishes races anyway |

Agreed. The Farah v. Bekele match-up should be awesome and given it's a diamond league event I predict a fast time (likely sub 12:55). I think Farah will get the win like his pimp-ass win in the 10k at Pre last year (which will forever be known as the "ploy" race thanks to Solinsky). I agree with much of the analysis above... Cragg will be a DNF and Ritz a DNS. A masked Rupp will set a new WR and AR for the infrequently contested "masked 5000m" with a (barely) sub 13 effort finishing 4th or 5th overall. The Rupp fanboys will then flood the LR boards with comments like "...without the mask he woulda totally run sub 12:40" and "....but he was right there with the leaders until 400m to go, he'll get 'em next time". |

Ritz will pull out with an inflamed toe nail which is causing a hot spot on his egg shell like foot. |

Bekele all the way! 12:55 sounds about right. No way is Rupp breaking 13 at this race, 4th or 5th sounds about right though. |

Seriously WHY IS CRAGG STILL ALOUD IN BIG MEETS. The guy takes up space and just drops out anyway. Man, what I would give to see Lomong in it instead of Cragg. |

if rupp gets top 5 he will be sub 13 i think rupp goes sub 13 for the first time in his home town. |

Way to go out on a limb.
See above.
Why is there "no way" Rupp breaks 13? Is there any other 26:48 guy on the planet to whom you'd give 0% chance of breaking 13 at Pre? I mean, there's no guarantee that he'll do it, but "no way?" Come on, if anything he's overdo. How does that sound? About right, maybe? |

I'm so f***ing pumped for this race. Salazar has been saying that Rupp will run, what, 12:45? He better get a lot faster than 13:05, and what better place to do it than against the greatest distance runners who ever lived? |
