Any message boarders run at Ohio State in the late 90s/early 2000s? I'm wondering if you knew a guy who briefly ran on the team during that time period. Thanks |

Nope, no one ran at Ohio State in the late 902/early 2000s. No one at all. |

Yeah, 1500m guy. He would have been there around that time, though maybe a year or two later. I met him recently (he is no longer able to run), and claims he was given a full-ride scholarship out of high school. I am seriously doubting the validity of this statement, so I was wondering if anyone knew him when on the team (archived results don't go back that far on the team site). |

Hmm... I was there around that era and don't remember anyone by that name. It's a big team, but if I haven't heard of him he couldn't have been all that good. |

The name doesn't ring a bell, but as a previous poster said it was a big team. I am 99.9% certain he wouldn't have been on a full-ride though. For one, almost nobody on the team is on a full ride, especially not some un-proven freshman that I've never heard of. What kinds of times coming out of high school does it take to get a full-ride at a place like OSU? 4:07 1600m, 8:50 3200m? Most programs, OSU included, make you earn a full scholarship. |
