Best individual performance, which excludes Polly. Brianna Nerud for Tatanal DE ran her opening leg on the DMR in 3:26. That time would have been right in the mix with schools like Nova and Oregon. I am guessing it's about equal to a 2:05 800m or a 4:38 mile and I have never heard of this kid. Am I overrating her performance and was this a fluke? |

Briana Nerud is very good. She is #2 all time in both the High School 2k Steeple and the 3k Steeple (she's run 10:24 this year) and ran 4:46 for 3rd in the Indoor Nats Mile. 3:26 is a legit time for 1200 but it is not equal to a 2:05 or 4:38. It's a very good mark, but the performance of the meet was Mary Cain and the way she dominated a very good field. |

Nerud is a great runner... she's #2 All-Time in the 2k Steeple chase to Maddie Meyers, running 6:29.56 last year. Also ran sub-4:30 for 1500m last year. And she was 17th at NXN last fall. |

Agreed on all accounts. 3:26 for 1200m ~ 2:07.high and mid 4:4x's for a full mile. But Cain was the star of the meet. |

I guess it looked more impressive when you have anchor leg type leading off and I agree Cain's performances was better especially when consider Penn rarely produce the best individuals performances. |

Nerud isn't even North Shore's best middle distance runner. Samantha nadel, coming off an injury is. Cain was no doubt the star of the meet. |
