Madison, Felix, Knight, & Jeter go 42.19 @ Penn!! 4/28/2012 7:12PM Reply | Return to Index | Report Post
That is an awesome time, especially under the less-than-ideal conditions.

The AR is 41.47, by the team of questionables: Gaines, Jones, Miller, Devers.

IMHO 42.19 at this time of year in crappy conditions is within striking distance of 41.47, holy crap.

Anybody see the race? How was Madison on leadoff?

And what an ass-kicking they laid on the pretty-good Jamaican team of Simpson, Stewart, Bailey, and SAFP, second in 43.31

Awesome! Sub-41 coming this year, almost for sure.

You know this would feel great if the team didn't include an obvious drug cheat on it. And I dont think anyone has to ask which one of them it is. Happy for the 3 ladies who ran a brilliant race!

All of the hand-offs were pretty bad, which likely slowed them down as well. The second leg was really fast, and when I found out it was Felix it made sense. Jeter looked very good to me as well, but she had a considerable lead which probably helped.

STFU Computer Guru you L.A. fairy. We're sick of hearing about South Central L.A. coughers like Allyson Felix and Carmelita Jeter. Eugene is THE only Track Town USA.

There live. Other than SRR, this was the highlight of the day. Everyone was amazing.

How f-ing great is that team, each leg of the relay optimized:

Madison--blazing start and acceleration
Felix--great speed endurance without the need to start
Knight--capable turn runner
Jeter--huge top-end envelope

I think that Knight might be the unsung hero of this team. So much can happen in that turn, things are very deceptive. IMHO, that is where the 4x100 is most often won and lost, it is the sneaky leg.

Didn't Knight have a killer 200 last year, or the year before?

I think this team should be cemented right now, and in this order, and should practice somewhere. There are members of the team seeking lots of individual glory this year, but in my experience, there is nothing as good as the sharing of victory with relay teammates, and that team atmosphere has much more of a nationalistic flavor to it than does any individual athlete.

Wow, London will be a real dogfight in the women's 4x100

I don't exactly know where the USA got that time from--Madison's first leg was only good, Jeter was rocking and took a while to actually get going, and the handoffs were mediocre.

It was all Felix and Knight IMO, and Jeter's last 25m.

With that kind of room for improvement, I think they can threaten the AR, and maybe even the WR.

I still think Knight was the key, she was SOLID. She probably could have kept going and run a credible anchor.

Madison and Jeter are doping. Im not speculating or guessing here im telling you as a fact that they are. Knight im not sure about but if i was guessing with her i would say she was.

so team of questionables vs team of cheats

Well, a fact needs to be proved.

It can be proved with different types of evidence.

By you post I assume that you have direct evidence--that is, that you have personally observed them receiving or self-administering certain substances that you know with reasonable certainty to contain banned PED's.

You can share the details with us here anytime!

Los Angeles is the track and field capital of the world. Eugene is a giant meth den. You'd know that if you weren't such a tweeker.
