is this also the trials for the USA half marathon world championships?

i wonder why they have this 1 week before most of our top runners will be running the olympic trials in the 10000, 5000 and steeple?

also there is a 20km USA championship in september, why have a
USA 20km AND a USA half marathon championships in the same year?

provides an opportunity for some runners to make the money they need to support themselves, you've seen all the threads about how little money there is in t&f haven't you. The half might be on a bad date, but these races are a good thing.

I'm wondering then if we won't see Kara run either the 5k or 10k at the trials if she has a half a week before...
