My grandparents and parents retired and moved from here in Northern Indiana to the San Diego area and kept running roads and thons. The weather is spectacular 366 days out of the year. I can't blame Vin for heading to L.A. or S.D. It's where I'll probably retire to eventually as well.

Stop being a selfish little shit. Our parents worked 50 years scraping their knuckles to give us what we have. Parents deserve to get out of the snow, rain, and slush to retire in Florida, Baja, etc. Let Vin and his wife leave that wet, dank, god forsaken meth factory town he's stuck in. Vin and his wife deserves to play golf everyday, hang out at the beach, and enjoy the sunset.

I still can't believe Vin was passed up by USATF for the CEO gig. I wouldn't be suprised if Vin went back home to Italy and joined the Italian Athletics Federation.

Some conversation that must have been. Lanana isn't going anywhere. He has found his kingdom in Eugene. Unfortunately, LA is pretty much finished as a track and field hotbed. When was the last time that USC or UCLA even won their conference championship?

I think Vin will retire to Florida or So Cal. So Cal is where 1/2 the T&F and marathon medalists for the USA were born and raised. Texas is up there too but it's not exactly a place people select for retirement. USC & UCLA have the most Olympic & Worlds T&F medals. USC has the most major marathon medals.
