Vaughn had that solid 5k a few weeks ago. I bet he will be a factor in the race. |

Mostly corporate runners in their mid twenties and two college guys. Ugachi is the only one among them who has the A standard, others (PBs mostly around 28 or 28 low except for Sato 27:38) here to chase it. |

This is anything but stacked. This is a second class field which will make for a tired, uninteresting race. Name one runner in that race who I should get excited about?

Are we sure that is right? Where is Ritz? Seems like this is the best opportunity for the A standard. Also, Puskedra is running the 5000M according to today's Oregonian. |

[quote] Cam Levins. With his mega mileage, his recent 5k, his blistering kick, I could see something like 2:08/1:52 for his last 1600. hypothetical if the pace is honest 13:50 through 5k :33 14:23 with 12 laps to go. 4:24 4:22 4:00 - 10 27:10-27:20 |

Let's start taking bets for how many laps Puskedra leads the race. |

I really think it's 50/50 if race goes at sub27 pace if they're just going for A standard than it will be no faster than 27-25 ,because it was a conservative race in 5k , i think he could do a 13;12 or something and he's got EXTREME endurance , here are some guys who have broken 27 or close to it and their 5k pr's Micha Kogo 26:35.63 - 5k 13:00.77 Kirui Geoffrey 26:55.73 5k 13:20.54 Ngatuny Gedion 27:01.83 5k 13:11.81 Korir John Cheruiyot 26:52.87 5k 13:09.58 Bernard Kiprop 26:59.61 5k 13:09.96 Jeilan Ibrahim 27:02.81 5k 13:09.38 Minimal is A standart Optional 27-10 - 27-30 Maximum sub27 |

I know that it's how the Japanese corporate sponsorship system works, but there's something that sounds funny to me about runners being sponsored by pharmaceutical companies. |
