The runner up in the 1500 elite run at Mt. Sac was a freshman from Columbia University named Nate Brennand. Has anyone ever even heard of this kid before?!?!?! As far as I knew, Kyle Merber was the only guy at Columbia who was capable of running a sub 4 mile... |

Nate was a good high school runner, I want to say 1:46 for 800 metres. He seems to have really taken to the Columbia training. |

Nate Brennand is a cyborg created by the Columbia Science and Tating Club. He was supposed to run under his alias Philmont Piliaiaum and as unattached. Someone at Columbis f'ed up begitime. Now DRDO will be all over 116St looking for cyborg cuchifritos vendors an the like. |

I see now. Brannen ran the Mt Sac mile in 3:54. Meanwhile, it looks like Brennand did indeed run 3:36. This kid is going places! |

Somebody screwed up! |
| It's obvious |

You'd have to be an idiot to not realize this...in the last 109m of the race, the runner formerly known as "Nate Brennand" dropped out of college, changed his name, and signed with saucony...the real question is could he have won the race if he didn't take the time to do all that? We can only speculate, but it was an impressive performance nonetheless. |

No, you have it all wrong. Nate Brennand, second place through 1500, dropped out with a big toe injury. Nate Brannen, who was in 13th place at the 1500 mark in about 3:46, poured it on the last 109 and finished 3rd (closing that last 109 in 8 seconds!!) |

That's an impressive double for Aarrass. |

Something must have gotten crossed in the meet database as this kid did not even have the credentials to get into the 8th heat of the 1500m let alone the elite invitational heat. |

I used to run with Nate Brennand's grandfather in Santa Barbara. His GF ran a sub-2:30 marathon at Boston when he was over 40, and he is still one of the best in his age group (about 75 now) in this country. Nate ran about 9:09 3200 in HS. |
